I'm there. I stayed at the Red Cedar last November when Smitty and I did the Dual Sport thing. The rooms are $20 or so cheaper a night than the Super 8 and while not as fancy were perfectly adequate. I will stay there again.

This is a ride that you guys with a DS need to make. When he and I rode last November 1st we had a great time. The roads were through the woods and some were only one vehicle wide. We did a water crossing that was about 3' deep. I tested the depth of the water with my water proof to 8" boot. They are equally as good at keeping water in as they are in keeping water out. Smitty went and made another crossing on his KTM and I took some pictures which I need to someway get on here. I just talked to Smitty and there will be a Dual Sport ride for those guys and the FJR, etc. guys can take a tour on some great roads with his brother or someone else, perchance FJRocket, STLouisFJR, or FJRWheaton.

This will be a great warm up for PETEY and myself as we are leaving for Alaska on our KLR's the next weekend for a month.

Regardless, this will be a great ride on either paved roads or gravel roads, take your pick.

Ayah! Wheatie the dancing girls are 5 & 8 years old, they haven't given me the exact weekend yet,I'll have to pry it out of the mother.

Recital is usually one of the middle weekends in May.

I know you wouldn't cancel this unless you had to...just sorry you had to Smitty. Hope all is well.

I may have to work around this and end up doing a solo ride down to MO/AR as I just can't miss those roads again... :huh:
