Would anyone have an objection to eating Saturday evening at the local bar/steakhouse?? I can call and get a table reserved at Crossroads Bar here in Hooterville. I could also pickup anyone from there motels so a beer or two could be had with out worries. :dribble: I would set the time for 7pm... Does this sound okay???

For Fridays meal, if at all possible we need to be at the Catfish Kettle by 5pm. The place gets very busy and we may have to wait a bit if we don't go early.

My brother is going to ride, plus!!!!! Skinny Dave aka Mr. go fast... Will attend.. Mr. BMW aka Tommy Huff is a maybe for Saturdays ride.

Let me know if the meat plan is okay, and I will give them a call. A table for 12 should cover it.. Smitty

Sounds great to me!

Sounds like a plan!!

Friday: EDIT Catfish Kettle by 5pm will be hard for some of us taking the backroads from Moonshine, IL at lunchtime...We will have to call when we get there...It may be 6pm before we get to Bonne Terre. Go ahead without us if need be. We'll get Catfish...it may just be a little bit later. :)

Saturday: Dinner per Smitty's post above.

Wheatie, best plan an early lunch in Moonshine, remember the grill closes at 12:30 sharp!

Since I won't be making it this time, someone else will have to take over duties of being the last one everybody has to wait for at the turns.

Dave I am going to put barbed wire around them. Of course, now that you are an old married guy with a kid I will probably be waiting on you the whole damned day.

The steak sounds great.

My friend's bike is in the shop and is supposed to be ready Fri. but may not be able to leave work until late afternoon so I will wait on him. He has never been on a ride this great so I will wait on him if he can make it. He already has permission from his marital unit and it would be a shame to not take advantage of it.

I will now for sure Fri. am so see you guys this weekend.

Smitty, I think the early bird blue plate on Friday is too early. Like Wheaton said, 6 sounds better. But we'll go directly there from Chester (not that Chester), it's on the way, sorta.

Steak at the bar on Saturday sounds good. Again, we're not as FAST as you are, Smitty (and Dogger Dave), so you might want to push that reservation back a tad. I didn't think we'd even be back until 6. Might be nice to shower and clean up a bit before going bar hopping... er... dinner. (Is there more than one bar in Hooterville that you can "hop"?)

I wouldn't think we would need to push Saturday's meal back much, if any. Smitty may remember what time he had us arrive at his brother's place last year...

If we end the ride at 6pm, we will have a whole hour to shower, change and get ready for the shindig at Aint Bees the steak place which is just a stone's throw quick ride from Thelma Lou's the Super 8.

:)

8am to 6pm = 10 hours

minus 1 hour for lunch = 9 hours

400 miles/9hours = 45 mph

taking 55 mph ( ;) )and stopping 10-20 min stop every 2 hours = 45 mph +/-

Seems pretty do able to be ready by 7pm....

...'course I'm up for anything you guys decide. :clapping:

Professor Wheaton has this trip down to a science! ;)

Takes me more than an hour just to doo my hair. I need more prep time for bar hopping.

I'm just sayin'.....
