Well wheaton you've done it again organized a fantastic ride in some beautiful country that as usual I CANNOT ATTEND due also as usual to a family obligation. But not a wedding this time ;) You guys have a good time and for christs sake stay out of the ditches.
I'm starting to think yer avoiding me...

...wise move.

What's wrong with the ditches?? Oh yeah...that.

:D

I'll be putting on new tires before Hooterville, and give el *******o an oil change...and spark plug change.

I'll be sending out gpx files to anyone participating on this ride (that wants them) early next week.

I'll be leaving from work in Naperville about 11:30am...hoping to get to Farmington about 6pm or earlier :) so we can head over to the traditional "Smitty recommended" Catfish Kettle where they have all-you-can-eat Catfish...and other fine entrees as well.

That weekend is the BMW Falling Leaf Rally in Potosi as well. You'll see alot of BMWs on the road and some of those motel rooms might be eaten up by those guys as well. They normally get about 600-700 riders.

Oh well, I guess we'll get lots of practice crossing the double yellow...did I just say that?

Actually Steve...thanks for letting me know. I will think about running the route clockwise now to get away from Potosi early in the day...

Put me on the list, I'm planning on being there. :yahoo:
Excellent! :clapping:

I will be finishing up a Street and Trips file tonight...so I can export a gpx file for you guys with one a dem fancy electronic things that get you lost.

I will make a clockwise route and a counterclockwise route...we can decide Friday night which way makes the most sense...given the rumored BMW rally happening in Potosi.

PM me your email address if you want a gpx file.

I will be making a turn sheet for myself and bring extra copies.

Hey Mark, looks like you got a good group of riders there, we couldnt find any takers for our little Arkansas jaunt! Those are some fun roads up there. Our most northern position wont be to far from your most southern (Alton MO)

One word of warning!!!!!!!

Watch out for this guy he's trouble!

Ya'll have a good ride!!

Scott

Yeah Scott...sorry I couldn't make it this year. Farmington, MO was alot closer to Wheaton than northern AR for a base for me...close enough that I was able to get by taking a half day off work instead of two days. But "settling" for southern MO roads ain't all that bad either. ;)

Yeah...TriggerT...what a jerk that guy is. :p He always looks like he is going to "go off" on someone.

Add me to the list... considering I'm a Kansas City, Missouri local, I should be ashamed I haven't ridden in that area...

I saw the thread earlier and didn't know if I could make it after the NAFO gig... but looks like I can leave a bit early Friday.

I'll PM to get the map for my electronic thingy... look forward to meeting you all (I think...)

Great!

I'll add you to the list. :clapping:

Since you and builderwill are Missouri natives...you two have been selected to be the designated rider leaders! CONGRATS!!

Mark, I agree with Petey, morning will not be a problem near Potosi. It's the afternoon that will be very busy around there.

Where are you guys stopping for lunch? I'm going to try and catch up with you.

If you or anyone else that's going on this ride wants a gpx file...pm me your address no later than Thursday noon...after that I'll be packing up for this trip and won't have time to fiddle with emails and may miss it...

Oh, ****... THERE goes the neighborhood...

Youz guyz ride safe, y'hear? Be sure to show us some pictures, 'specially of this catfish joint. Me likey catfish....

And, for GOD'S sake, do NOT look Petey in the eye. If ya do, expect to be jimmy-kicked (ninja-style) and be ready to duck - he tends to revert to his gorilla instincts and fling poo. You've been warned... :p

It wasn't so much CFR as it was WFO. What happened was Petey .... he .... I just can't talk about it still. Therapy is helping, but I just can't...

Petey is actually my hero. He has the time and the bike, and the man rides. :yahoo:

Just don't look him in the eye... :D
