But still in full gear!

Dude, your tires are gonna melt off! Don't know how you can stand it being so hot all the time, but then again people have questioned why I live in MN.

and i thought it's hot here in South Texas. My daily commute home is average 95 deg for the past month and still in full gear.

Damn. I was going to post up about whether riding in full gear in very hot weather (for me, +102F) was beneficial or detrimental. Then this post comes along.. +120F?

My dilemna is whether to ride with Joe Rocket armored pants or just ride in jeans. I always wear, at minimum, a Tour Master Flex jacket, full helmet, riding boots, good gloves, .. but the pants sure do get hot.

So far, this season, I've been ATGATT, but I'm growing weak of the sweat-soaked crotch, knees, thighs... after only a 40 minute ride.

I saw my highest reading yesterday also. 113.

It was when I cranked the bike after sitting in the sun at work.

Actual temp was 103...and when I got moving it came down to 104.

I ride geared up...in boots, mesh jacket, gloves, helmet. Can't make

myself wear the mesh pants right now.

113 here in Chandler Az as well. But that was the actual temp. It was 87 when I left the house at 530am. I'm not exactly looking forward to the ride home but its only 6 miles. Its worth it for the beautiful morning ride.

Can't compete with the 'century teen thing' but saw 101 (in South Carolina, near the coast) with the high humidity; well that just plain takes it out of you too.

Here in san Jose (Northern CA, mind you) my bike said 116 when I came out to get on it yesterday afternoon. It lowered itself to 111 within a few miles, though. That was probably 10 degrees or so above ambient temp.

Still, tooooo hot!!

Sonofabitch. 87 @ 5:30 am?

Too hot for riding around here today (Bakersfield, CA)!

106 degF in the shade and 116 out in the direct sunlight. Still 100 at 8 pm.

Yes, the HOT weather here on the coast near Morro Bay (106 yesterday), forced me to order an under tank insulation kit from Speedzone on ebay and some foam bar to insulate the right side fairing detailed on the Cromiet fix from McMaster Carr. Already did the left side fix, and it helped. Trying to get ready for more summer heat which I am sure is on the way. :(

What's all the fuss about? The temperature never reads too high on my '03, or my Ninja, or even my little TTR. Perhaps it is in some way connected with the fact that none of them have temperature readouts? I just think cool thoughts and pretend it's cooler than it is. :yahoo:

I find my mesh pants to be hotter in extreme heat than my regular pants(rukka gear). My first ride in real heat with mesh was livable, but hot. Used the Rukka pants and was much cooler. Their gear is expensive, but the best I've found
