You need to pick up the pace a little, stopped for over 1.5hrs in a total ride time of just 7 hours 6min.

Slacker! :p

I will no longer feel gulity about riding at semi-legal speeds, I will no longer feel gulity about riding at semi-legal speeds, I will no longer feel gulity..............................
Semi Legal ???

(However, that is a cool mantra .... ;) )

I am glad that I am about the youngest idiot in here. I love going fast....I just won't post it anywhere. Other then the fact I can't post what I can't prove. I am sure fjrchik can say she went 156 on hers, though......when there was no rain or sand or anything which wouldn't mess her hair up. ;)

I like going fast, too...but there was this little event last weekend on the way to the Supermoto races that has me thinking...maybe Mr. Spinny head should mellow a bit.

I was bombing along Kelbaker Rd heading towards the Kelso train depot when my riding buddy was suddenly WAY ahead of me. Like any self respecting FJR owner I twisted the throttle and held it as the bike's speed quickly climbed. During acceleration through 125mph the front end lost contact w/ the road momentarily. Upon it's return to the pavement the bike started to wobble in a fashion that instantly increased the pucker factor. Since the throttle was WFO my reaction was to Un-WFO it and fast. It instantly shifted a bit more weight to the front and settled down quite nicely...but not before I nearly shit myself.

Take it easy out there Skooter...shit happens.

As a moderator you should be setting a better example. Your disregard for posted speed limits, is one thing, but to flaunt the proof on your Garmin is another. Some of the other forum members may take this up as a challenge to go even faster with [hopefully not] disastrous consequences.

You should set a better example to the younger members who [why I don't know] look up to you.

You may not care for your own life, but what of the innocents that may be harmed or killed as a result of an accident at that speed.

Howard
You be right Howard. I am off tomorrow with my turbocharged FJR to try for 200 mph in West Texas

has anyone else beat Rogue's 1203 mph yet?

All us young FJR owners need better guidance...I'm only 39 and it's scary trying to keep up with you old guys. But I just HAVE to try. This peer pressure is going to lead me to a early grave!

Eh, the more I think about it, the more I think skooter is outta line for posting lame-ass shit like that. I mean, what if my 18 year old, testosterone riddled step son were to see that? Hell, he'd prolly jump into his dad's 745i thinking that it's okay cuz some 'responsible' adult can do it, hit 150, then slam is young ass into the ARMCO, bust through and down a 1000' cliff into the Pacific Ocean and become yet another sad statistic.

Shame on you skooter, shame!

Right on, Howard! You tell it like it is, bro!

Personally, I'd look way closer to home and investigate his father's prediliction for collecting Don Knotts pictures. Passing along the "go fast" gene is easily explainable, but trying to explain the cumulative effects of black and white Barney Fife on the psyche of a modern teenager is a much tougher therapy nut to crack. :D

Why is it that the longer I read my fellow fjr riders posts....the crazier I think they are  ...& more & more their antics are beginning to make sense :dribble: ....I'm starting to become very....very....afraid....that all who continually follow this forum....will end up this way :dead: :dead: ....oh by the way....nice top end run

Hey, leave me alone! I'm just trying to score some free fries and a beer, OK? :D

Semi-legal definition: the number of miles per hour you feel you can exceed the posted speed limit, and not be stopped by the LEO, +5, +10 ? ;)

Yea been wondering about this Don Knotts thing myself.

If TWN did'nt post such entertaing comments on all threads one may think it a wierd hang up.

Still it appears to be a fairly innocuous pastime, actually I quite enjoy the increasing variety of DK pics, they are better than the old google eyed one he used originally!

Keep posting TWN it's fun reading!

You must've stepped out of the gutter for a moment.

Welcome back!

And as long as I'm back... I tried to resist...but I failed...

The whole Moderaters as role-models thing...Pashaaaw

Everyone is responsible for their own actions..Take credit when you do good, take responsibility when you screw up. Don't look to point blame.

I'll leave it there without a long diatribe that would be lost on some.

Where 's that damn winking thingy?
