How many miles on one bike??

If I am reading this right, then this guy on the Motorcycle Tourers Forum is saying he has 594,062 miles on ONE bike. I find that a little hard to believe.

Interesting to see how many miles other people have racked up, and on how many bikes. I wish they said what kind of bikes they have / had.

I will make the admin suggestion.....STRONGLY...that you use the provided website if you want to start talking about your own miles.

That website is totally geared for it while this forum is not. Otherwise, this thread will only get it moved to that 5 letter acronym place.

Not that hard. He and others (usually on older model BMWs) are well known in the LD community for doing that critical thing any high mileage bike needs....MAINTENANCE.

There are also a dozen folks that have documented 100,000+ miles in one year. Many of them do 50-75K a year as normal course...so it's not hard for them to accumulate miles on machines.

Said another way....Skooter has an '04 and is already 1/4 of the way there.

I use to work (goffer)at BMW Denver back in the mid 70's,and saw quite a few beemers come in with over 2/300k,without even needing a top end done....FYI

Damn. I read an article about one bike that had 500K miles on it a few years ago ( a Norton I think), but I never would have thought that those kind of miles were something that were even remotely common on ANY kind of bike.

Now there is a goal for my 2006!
