How many miles?

I'm anxious as hell to see what kind of mileage I get... I've typically gotten only 2500 miles out of rear tires. First tire-- when my old bike was my new bike-- went almost 4k, tire #2 went 3500, tire 3 went 3k... that lasted awhile, then wear went south.. ending up at the 2500 mile mark.

Supposedly, the Bridgestone 020's wear longer than say a Dunlop D220?

Hi Bubba
I would skip Kamloops , instead go to Veron and then head west on highway 6 to Needles.( suppose to be one of the best rodes in BC for twistys)From Needles up to Nakusp and then to Revelstoke.Have a great trip and post some Pics. :)

Regards Mtn

Is there an echo in here ??? :p

Actually if you are coming from Vancouver take the awesome Fraser Canyon route (Highway 1) to Kamloops and then go south on Highway 97 to Vernon before heading west.

I wouldn't count on the D220 lasting longer. I've never tried one, everyone I ever talked to said the D220 was a **** tire compared to the Bridgestones, Metzlers or Michelins. My son's SV650 came with a D220. It lasted less than 5,000 miles and handled like crap. My son replaced it with a Michelin Pilot Road, and said it was so much better he couldn't believe it.

Hi,

Well we've actually got of group of 6 sport bike riders (well 5 plus me) making the trip. Two are haulin' ass for Vancouver B.C. and the rest are taking the slow route through the twisty interior in double the time. This probably wouldn't be the trip to join in with since I'm not even leaving til the 28th.

Next time.

Do you want a riding partner for the first leg? When are you leaving? I'm riding from Sacramento to Vancouver for a buisness trip. The business starts on Tuesday night 6/20 at Jake's Famous Crawfish Resturant in Portland and then hotel in Vancouver, WA. You probally meant Vancouver, B.C. Right?

Another nice road if you can work it in is Hwy 8 between Spences Bridges and Merritt.

If your already in Banff you owe it to yourself to head north on the Icefields Parkway Hwy 93. The scenery along there rivals anything anywhere in North America. Go all the way to Jasper if you can but at least make it up to the Columbia Icefields.

Tires, my BT 020s hit the wear bars at 6100 miles. Unfortunately I was in Great Falls MT where the tire selection was minimal.
