How messy is your workstation or desk?

Been a LONG winter, and everything's a mess. I got **** everywhere, but, if I file it away I most likely will forget about it and it won't get done. Alyssa (one of my store clerks) keeps coming in and wanting to clean it. I won't let her, not yet.

So how messy is your desk or workstation where you compute? Betcha can't beat my mess

There are times I have hard time finding my keyboard under all the paperwork.

Not that bad at work but my home desk is embarrassing. I have to clean it up just to find the keyboard or bills that need paying. My garage bench area is pretty well organized though.

In my defense, it's a home office so none of my co-workers ever see this. I find things much like an archaeologist would, by strata. Based on the relative age of papers at a particular layer, I know approximately where to find things.

I've been doing this computer **** for way to long. How long? So long that we've named the filing system on my desk. We call it the Gravity Based filing system.

Recent stuff is on top. Unimportant stuff falls on the floor and gets picked up for shredding.

I aspire for my computer desk to look so good. I refer to the stacks of paper as vertical filing as opposed to the normal horizontal drawer filing.

here is my "workstation".....

and dang! I didn't realize how messy it was until I took a picture of it!!! it sure doesn't seem that messy when i am working..... :/
