Last weekend I was attending an air show at the former Pease AFB in Portsmouth New Hampshire. The main attraction was the Navy's Blue Angels but there were lots of other wonderful flight demos. But I'm getting off track.
There was a young native standing next to me at one point and I couldn't help but notice her ink. I asked where she was from, meaning whereabouts in NH. I assumed I got the state figured out already. She pointed out on her tattoo where her home was; about 1/3 of the way up, central and said "Derry".
She asked where I was from and quickly replied Warwick, Rhode Island. (Big Lie). She asked where that was not being too familiar with the other New England states, I guess. So I pointed out on her tattoo the approximate location of Rhode Island. Stunned, she said, "I meant Warwick, you *******, I know where Rhode Island is."
That mis-adventure aside, It was a great day to watch airplanes. There are some talented pilots out there.
