I took an entirely different approach... I kept my buddies and my other half went in and got the full Hyssie. Of course, she had developed fibroid ovarian tumors that necessitated the radical carving up. (No, it wasn't just for "recreational" purposes) But it removed any need for me to make a decision, and by the way... I was able to ride the same day with no pain whatsoever.

Hope she did okay by the surgery...

...glad you were able to ride away from it. :)

Yes, she did very OK. Stopped a lot of nasty symptoms, but shortly after started a new phenomenon something about making Men pause. So now we are up every night from around 2AM-5AM... covers on... covers off. Repeat endlessly.

I sleep in late most mornings. Riding away is never a problem.

I've been thinking about doing that myself someday. But, I suffer from a rare medical condition that manifests itself by me crying like a baby and screaming like a little girl when someone gets anywhere near my nuts with a shape object. Lucky for me, my lady friends have all been clipped themselves!!! :)) Who's the lucky guy?! It's Meeeeee!! :)

I took the weekend off the bike after my "snipping", which was coincidentally also on a Friday. I sat on the frozen peas Friday and Saturday. By Sunday I was plenty mobile, but no where near riding form.
Good info, thanks!

So yours was friday also, do you think the following friday you could of done a 3 day ride (maybe 1K miles or so?)
Oh yeah - by the following Friday, I was back to normal. Just take the first weekend off and ease your way "into" things (all things) the following week.

KJ - honest to my god. Ask your doctor !

And don't shave!

1. ask your doctor if a shave prep is necessary (is there an echo in here?)

2. shaving in advance of surgery increases your risk of infection.

Something to think about: when the current squeeze goes by the wayside (yeah, yeah, I know - she's The One) and you get a younger version, your smitten silly old *** will be back at the urologist's office looking for a reversal 'cause the new one wants babies (and a bigger house and new car)

Seriously, good for you. Wishing you the best

A good friend went to a wedding the saturday after the proceedure, danced the night away. Woke up the next morning with a coupe of grapefruits in his shorts. Took a while to get over that.

Friend number two went on a snowmobile trip the first weekend, Grapefruits again. Thank god for lots of snow to cool things.

Another friend didn't wait until gitting a clean sample and ended up with a third child.

Most of us lay around the first weekend and all is well by the next weekend.

Your choice. Good luck

Thanks for the horror stories junior! I think I'll keep my nut sack intact! I'm cringing just thinking about it now! :))

BTDT........ Go home, get into a comfy sitting/reclining position on the LazyBoy or in bed to watch TV or read a book while the family brings you food and beer for a day. Thank them well because it might be the last time you get waited on hand and foot....... paybacks are hell. But, I predict you'll be riding the following weekend if you rest up for that first whole day...... way back in my younger days, we had a he-man body builder type on our ball hockey team. Don't know if you know anything about ball hockey, it's hockey only you run in a 100 degree arena chasing an orange ball.. very physical, hot, etc..... buddy survived after playing two days after his cuttin'. But ya had to wonder if he was hurtin' a bit.

Got snipped this past Friday (6/7). No problems the 1st day at all, I was like "ship, this ain't nuttin!" BUT, I had a reaction to the Stainless Steel clamps used to tie off the ends of the vas-tubes. Nut sack still bigger than a softball as of this writing but down from the cantaloup size they were on Sat. Icing doesn't seem to help... re-visit, got sum antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and Vicodin... MUCH better! Dr. said 1 out of 50 has a reaction to the "foreign material" (lol, he could of just said "stainless"). So my swelling was way more than normal but hopefully I will be able to mount up and make the Cats trip this upcoming weekend... got 4 more days to 'deflate'. I will be nice and not post up a picture

Honestly if I knew what I do know, my g/f would of been the one going in for the zip-up.

And yes, "Speed" is definitely grounded (a local joke amongst my friends)

Waaayyyy TMI, but thanks for refraining from posting a pic.

Dunno about the upcoming ride, and whether they'll be back to normal size. But I hope someone has a video camera because it seems to me that with those huge balls, no one is going to be able to keep up with you in the twisties.

Bounce- You must have Iron Ballz!

naw... it was only about 30 to 35 miles to the Dr's office.
I don't understand the fuss. I rode to and from the doctors also, but on a push bike(pedal bike). 250 miles each way. This was the nutsack city limits. Thanks for the memories.
