The gear position indicator wasn't included on the FJR until last year's model (2006). There are companies that make a gear position indicator you can add on. Someone will be along shortly with a link. If not, I'll find it after work tonight.

Well, here is the first person to come along with a link One solution is an Acumen DG8, a bit pricy at $140 US. Some people have had problems getting it wired correctly on the FJR. Another source is Datatool for roughly $80 US.
