A few more photos from Tech Day in Owosso.
Pista (Steve) thought he could buy our knowledge with donuts from the Owosso Timmy's.....
He was correct.
Griff rode over to Owosso on the Hondapotamus since his POS FJR had broke the centerstand. Griff needed something with the trunk size of a Lincoln Town Car to carry the parts.....
A couple of the new folks had not checked the Security Torx screws on the sidebag locks.....
Griff had the proper torx screwdriver to take care of this little job....
The Security Torx Screwdriver is hollow in the center so that the screwdriver will fit over the little pin in the screw.
We gave Andy a set of instructions to read so he could feel involved but we never gave him any tools. We know better.....
Pam wanted me to get a photo of Allen C's '14 ES with the flowers. In the sunlight you get a much better idea of the true nature of the "Arrest Me Red"
By late afternnoon Steve just about had all the electrical roughed in and ready for testing......
Pam and Tom had done shopping and Pam bought Tom a new suit....
You don't get in Pam's way when shopping. We needed to go over to Home Depot for some PCV to make fork preload spacers and then we went over to Walgreens since I needed to get some cheater glasses since I had a senior moment and had forgot to bring my reading glasses. I had a few other senior moments this weekend since I had also forgot:
- The keys for my motorcycle
- The motorcycle (it was still at Ray's place in my trailer)
- The box with the lighting kit I wanted to install
- The charger for my computer
When I realized I didn't bring my keys it then dawned on me that since the bike was in gear and it is an AE and does not have a clutch handle it was going to be a major operation just to get the bike out of my trailer and transfer over to Ray's trailer. That plus the fact that without the key I was not going to easily take off the seat to be able to remove the plastic to install the Stiffy Kit. With all that I didn't see the point of hauling the bike to Owosso just to have it take up space.
What I did remember to do was to close the car door when we parked at Walgreens. In Pam's hurry to check out the sales she left the rear car door wide open and no one else noticed it while we all went in to Walgreens. Fortunately Tom had locked the other three doors so everything was secure.
. None of us mentioned this little incident for the rest of the weekend................................ NOT.
As a penalty Wayne made Pam do five laps around the driveway.....
Wayne tried to penalize me but I fell off the stupid thing.
Bust had spared no expense and shipped in a flag from Ray's favorite team. Steve checked out the flag just before he headed out for home while Bust held it up for inspection......
Tom picked up this beer cooler for CFR just in case the beer thief FJRPierre shows up.....
Just before Ray and I headed back to the Great White North Bust presented Ray with Ray's Favorite Team's flag.....
So ends another Tech Day in Owosso. Thanks to everyone who made the trip and added to the fun. Very special thanks to the girls for keeping us fed throughout the weekend. However there will be a poll (pole?) on what will be for supper next time since all the men got into trouble for not having any ideas.
If I post the poll it will state the following:
What do do want to have for supper?
- beer
- more beer
- anything as long as there is beer to go with it.
Once again there would be no Owosso Tech Day without Sheila & Barry opening up their home to us for the weekend. A very special thank you to you both.
Bust has to send me a CD with some time lapse photos from tech day since due to technical difficulties my copy got removed from my GoPro. Once I get Barry's copy I will be able to post a movie of some of the going ons from Tech Day.
