Firstly, .... if your mechanically challenged and have no tools in your garage this is not for you.
Many moons ago I organized a group buy for a Hugger buy Hugger group buy and ended up with an extra one. I've been holding on to it thinking I may need it as the original discussion was that the fiberglass would not hold up, we'd crash and burn and the sky was falling. Well, three FJR's and 50,000 / 60,000 miles later it's developed a 3/16" long crack, Oh My !
Again, if you don't have a dremmel, sand paper, drills, and paitence, do not buy. It is 90% ready to install.
This is for a Gen 1 as is, but if you chop about 5/8" off of the rear attachment at the acorn nut, and reglass / epoxy, along with a couple small holes it can be made to fit a Gen 2. I had the same hugger on my 04 then my 06 and now my 06AE.
$150 plus shipping.
Pics are HUGE so that you can see what you're buying. Note that is is slightly offset and not perfectly centered. The leading edge on mine is beat from the hugger scaping the rocks ( and nails ? no flats since my install) off of the tire.
Stock manufactuers pics with the pipes / pegs removed for clarity.
My Hugger installed.
Your hugger ready for minor rework
