Firstly, .... if your mechanically challenged and have no tools in your garage this is not for you. ;)

Many moons ago I organized a group buy for a Hugger buy Hugger group buy and ended up with an extra one. I've been holding on to it thinking I may need it as the original discussion was that the fiberglass would not hold up, we'd crash and burn and the sky was falling. Well, three FJR's and 50,000 / 60,000 miles later it's developed a 3/16" long crack, Oh My !

Again, if you don't have a dremmel, sand paper, drills, and paitence, do not buy. It is 90% ready to install.

This is for a Gen 1 as is, but if you chop about 5/8" off of the rear attachment at the acorn nut, and reglass / epoxy, along with a couple small holes it can be made to fit a Gen 2. I had the same hugger on my 04 then my 06 and now my 06AE.

$150 plus shipping.

Pics are HUGE so that you can see what you're buying. Note that is is slightly offset and not perfectly centered. The leading edge on mine is beat from the hugger scaping the rocks ( and nails ? no flats since my install) off of the tire.

Stock manufactuers pics with the pipes / pegs removed for clarity.

That looks pretty slick! Does it have any real function or is it just for looks?

Good luck with the sale!

I have had one of those huggers on my bike since the original GB that Highlander set up. It is still on my bike and as he explains, it is not a perfect fit, but with a little TLC it is serviceable. Does it do anything? Yes, it keeps quite a bit of splooge off of the underbody and allowed me to "bob" the rear fender on my FJR which I always thought was kinda obtrusive aesthetically.

One note here; I don't use the stock 180/55/17 rear tire that came on the bike. I have been using a 170/60/17 (5 or 6 rear tire changes now). This tire and the Hugger don't interfere with each other. My 2 buddies, Robert Van Houtte and Rudy Lopez both entered in on the Hugger buy with Highlander and subsequently disgarded their Huggers. In my opinion it is because these huggers (made in France BTW) were too tight for the stock 180/55/17 tire.

Best to Highlander in landing a sale, I'm happy with mine!

Just some of my CO2!

Well this is still collecting dust in my garage. The original is now on my 08 and between 4 FJR's it probably has 100k miles total on it by now.

How about $125 ?
