I don't know what this may be... but I get a humming sound or a sound kind of like when you run your fingers around the top of a whine glass when I am making turns at highway speeds but only LEFT turns.... The only thing I can think that it might be is the wheel bearings...

any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

James

How about a lot more info, like miles on the bike, miles on the tires, same brake pads, any maintenance recently done....etc., etc. etc.,........

I don't hear that on my bike, but then I wear earplugs. I figure if I don't hear it, it's all good.

Gotta go with the cupped tire theory!!
I agree. What tires are you running? Some cup earlier and worse than others.

IIRC, the 'Stones BT020 my bike came equipped with were the pits. Severe humming (L & R) after just 2000 miles and progressive terminal scalloping thereafter. Total tire life 3,500 miles.

Early BT021 were also fairly loud. Then they changed the front tire tread (and maybe the mix, too) and now you get less humming and definitely less miles out of it...

Tire air pressure, or, like the others have said, tire wear.
Agreed.

My front tire hums to me regularly... even when it isn't worn.
Heidi, now get real close to the front tire and in a soft voice tell it the words,"Country roads, take me home, to the place I belong, West VA, mountain momma, take me home down a country road"! It'll learn these and sing them back to you at EOM! So sorry I can't be there!!!!!

Guaranteed, my front tire already knows that song. It's taking me there this weekend as a matter of fact.
