What gets me upset is that he was a very young rider and was told in the morning by me and my other friend. Ride your own ride.. Do Not try to catch us if we get ahead.. He did not know this road and pushed it above his riding ability. Its sad when this happens and ends like this.

New riders please please listen to the more advanced riders. they been there and done it before.

And sometimes...it's shared from experience. Some of us have done really stupid motorcycle stunts because of bad decisions and survived them.

Encourage him that he's not the first and won't be the last....but seriously...look into taking a serious riding course. THAT money will be less than what the replacement costs will be.

Total Control clinics, Streetmasters and others would surely give him some tools, especially on some of the fun roads you guys have in SoCal.

Let him know that many of us are sending our best thoughts for his healing (including the mental part) and we're thankful he was wise enough to wear proper gear.
