Thursday afternoon I was picking up a couple of the cutest cupcakes for the grandkids at the Solano Baking Company in Dixon Ca.
They resembled yellow baby chicks with coconut for pin feathers. You should have seen them.
Wait, now that I think about it
they also resembled the yellow domed Old Michael. After all, I did say they were cute.
While getting into my truck I spot an FJR gassing up at the Safeway pumps across from the bakery.
"I wonder if that could be Hycle" I pondered, knowing that he frequented the Dixon area.
Sure enough, through these withered eyes I could just make out the vanity plate on the back of the Feej.
I quickly threw it into gear and scurried over to say hi. Simultaneously, Mike threw it in gear and slowly departed the pump area.
I wanted to sideswipe him just to make sure he didn't run off without so much as a "hello", but he was too quick for me.
Instead I honked at him, hoping he would at least stop and throw off his gloves looking to go a few rounds with the jerk in the truck, but
alas, it was not meant to be. Instead, he goosed it and disappeared across the parking lot.
Hey Mike. I look for you every morning while getting coffee at SBC. Where ya be?
