Purchased new in November of 2013. Hyperpro rear shock with reservoir & hydraulic pre load adjuster ordered for a 2014 FJR. Installed, but never used - with zero miles.

Paid $1,258.00. Asking $800. Paypal works. Purchase price includes shipping via UPS Ground to the lower 48.

Any questions, text or call: 717-465-0519.

Thanks, Dan

Hi Dan,

I've been looking at one of these, but wife is having serious issues with my farkel list. I'm having a helluva time convincing her that a new bike needs a new shock. Best of luck with the sale.

Hi Rod,

Thanks. I have the complete opposite predicament as you - I have no farkle issues, but also no wife!

Sorry, I should have included that originally. 210 LB rider weight, 150 LB passenger weight. I have the original paperwork stating the weights as well.

The spring could be anywhere from 750 to 900 lbs with those specs and a remote preload adjuster. Do you know the actual spring rate? It might be shown on the spring and could also be expressed as a metric size between 130 to 170.

I have the same shock, I replaced the spring with a heavier straight rate spring.

Just a FWIW, HyperPro's come with a rising rate spring. Not your average progressive, but progressive none the less. You can't think of them like a straight rate which comes with one rate for the entire travel range. Having had several HyperPro springs on several different machines, I like them a lot. The last two that I got I had to specify the heavier duty spring. If things haven't changed, they only had two springs available, standard and heavy duty.

I am going to guess that either the standard spring or the heavier spring are still better than stock though???

I was hoping to hear back from Hyperpro today but nothing...

Call Klaus at EPM Performance 877-786-6543 for any questions you might have on HyperPro, he is the US distributor. Talked to him yesterday. Their spec sheet say's Dan's shock will fit both Gen II and III "A" models. It is the standard spring which "which should be" good for most riders except those who ride double, loaded and of shall we say of larger than normal stature. I am 240 necked and like most FJR riders always have "stuff" in my bags. Klaus said that should be no problem for the standard spring and differences can be set up using preload.

This is how I mounted my Penske on my 06. There is a bracket with the HyperPro for the preload adjuster but it looks like you have to figure out a place for the reservoir which is also the compression/rebound adjuster. There is all kinds of room and places to mount both items. Fabricating brackets from aluminum angle stock you can get at Home Depot is easy.
