Don, congratulations on your new job. Now when you do finally retire, I could probably give you some pointers since I will be entering my 19th year of enjoyable retirement and 10th year of sucking SS moneys.

What kind of job is that? Make you work the 31st, off the 1st, then back to work on the 2nd? Or do they make you work the 1st?? Not too strict on the ol' QA/QC if they do!

Working is GOOD!
It's the kind that thinks you worked the other 364 days in 2012........

Thanks, guys!

I start the new gig next Monday.

It's kinda like a trade-off, $$ for time.

Like Smitty, for example.

I will say the last 6 years of riding motobikes all over the continent has been great.

Time will be limited now, but this is only a 5 year gig.

So I must stay in shape to be able to ride in 5, hopefully pain free, w/o $$/time being a major detriment.

It's all a calculated risk.

Wish me well?

Don

Sounds like a good opportunity Don.

Life's all about trade-offs...five years isn't that long if you get where you need to be.

Congrats Don. I recently started a new job, and found it can really eat into my riding time. The semi-retirement was more fun, but it definitely didn't pay the bills.

I'll be back in May for the CA Farewell Tour. Hope to see you then.

I like what you are doing Don, and I personally try to live my life the same way.

You have see something you wanted in life, and now you are doing something to make it happen.

I wish you the best of luck and I hope your dreams come faster than you plan.

Remember my friend, the tougher the road, the greater the reward :)

I'll wish you well, Don, but if you want any pointers on retirement, just call me anytime.

Anytime after about 10 a.m.
+10, Double Gunny; just like SacMike I stand ready, willing and able to coach you about retirement and riding motorcycles every single damn day.

Ditto on the 10 a.m., plus don't call during Happy Hour at Applebee's or my Aqua Aerobics class at 24 Hour Fitness or when I am down in Mexico!

Dude, don't listen to Don. He's in bed every night by 8:30. This is because he takes a **** every morning at 0400, and then wakes up at 0430.

Hell, the latest I've ever seen him up was at the Reuben Run. He actually partied with us a little bit.

Congratulations a second time. Is this the 'project' you were studying for when we were in Templeton?

The 5 year gig makes it almost sound like you are going to the Big House

I just finished several years with lots of time and no money. Let me tell you how much money improves the quality of the little time you will have off.

During your time off It was great to meet you at NERDS as the intercontinental misguided missile flew through New England.

'Zilla has this *** backwards, as usual! I wake up at 0400 and then take my morning **** at 0430, I'm Irish not Italian so I don't make it a habit of shitting in my bed dammit!

I've got the Tired part covered but the RE part still eludes me. Now Carver wants me to take up the slack for him. After the KZ it will be the two BMW's and the Harley.

Maybe his retirement will cover mine.

OK Ray, I have to ask: Is carver actually going to start restoring his BMW /2's or is he just jacking off by the numbers again?

Papa Chuy Viejo could possibly take those POS Teutonic Turds off of his hands!
