I have a 2013 with 900 miles on it that I will sell you for $12,300 with the original shield and a National cycle V-stream. I realized it is too much bike for an older man.
That is a good deal to step up to a GEN III Blassoff. Would cost of going to get it make it worth your while though?

Definitely not. Not too long ago a Savannah, GA dealership had a 2013 with <5k miles for $9999.

Crap! Now we're all in trouble!

See the want ad section... 03 w/ 6k for $10k in NJ!!!! Lots of extras and mint!

No connection, just passin it on....

Last Spring I was thinking the bike was getting too heavy for me and that my LONG rides were over. Well, I've regained my senses, and a lighter dayly ride, a FZ-07, so the FJR stays in the garage waiting for that day of freedom.

My fault... I still own my '03. (my son will own it soon) I recently upgraded to a '13... so please excuse my dyslexia.

I think the Gen 1's are great (and lighter), but this Gen 3 is smoooother than anything I have ridden, and recommend it highly.

I like Gen 3's ( the look only ) I own a Gen 2 2012 . Bought it new in December 2011 for 14,800 plus TTL . It has been a very nice ride especially with suspension upgrades , PCV / auto tune , Muzzy exhaust / decat header .

Thing that I dislike about gen 3 is USD forks , stepper motors , ride by wire . All great till they fail on a road trip .

For the do it your self person USD just adds tooling / 2nd pair of hands .

I'm working on a deal to purchase a new/unused 2012 FJR. Trading in my 2005 as part if the deal. I love my 05, and it only has 50,000 miles on her (and enough freaking farkles that it'll take two days to return the bike to stock. So the question us, should I do it.
The answer is no. I have an '05 that is all tricked out to fit me and my needs well. It is reliable (when not stalling on the side of the freeway, that is

), and inexpensive to operate. It starts when I want it to and accelerates (a lot!) when I want it to. It is a totally known quantify. It has 52K miles. Viewed as a tool that does a job (outstandingly well), I cannot justify in any way getting a new bike. And there is a wonderful adage: The devil you know is better than the devil you don't know.

For an alternate opinion, please see Fairlaner.
