NEVER blow your Magnum Blasters when traveling 30 ft. below & 45 ft. behind a wild turkey traveling in your direction at 45 mph!
Dang Ron... you made me remember the wild turkey that nearly took off my head last year. The only part that hit were the trailing tail feathers... if I hadn't slowed a little, my helmet would've hit him square.
Nice save Slap.

Now, Slap...as a fellow Southerner, you did pay your respects to the fallen possum following Texas state guidelines, correct? (Most often done with armadillos)

1) Move possum to shoulder of roadway

2) Flip possum onto his back; fashion a bandana of some type

3) Position an empty 'Lonestar Beer' longneck on top, so it appears he's having a last beer....

(you'll come across these in rural areas now and then)

A short bike hit list from myself, brother, his wife:

Squirrel - cracked fairing, took my fender extender 'clean off'.

Deer - many near misses

Buzzards- attracted to the sister-in-law..she's not ugly, really! 2 collisions in 1 hill country trip..broke windshield in half/smacked her in the head (visor paid for itself that day).

Rattlesnake- ran over that ******* & flipped it back..my brother had to duck..hehehe

Wild turkey - near miss, followed by a male peacock...

Beef! Steers in the roadway...triple discs save the day...

Fun nonetheless...and that adrenaline shot is always welcome!

I saw a small dog - a 20 or so pounder - get toasted by a late 90's something Corola today. At about 60 mph. Completely took out the front grill, left light nacelle, bent and broke the radiator and cracked the bumper shroud...

Damn slappy, glad you tucked in! And good thing the aero drag of your tee helped slow ya down, too!

OK. This is all of the close calls we need- the rule of 3, need not apply here, right?
