I went out on new years day for a nice ride with my sportbike friends... Weather was in the high 60's ...

I was riding 2-up, With the yami trunk installed, Passing another bike on a straight stretch, 3rd gear, Throttle pinned, Topped a slight rise in the road and WEEEE!!

When i crested the rise in the road, I was showing about 8500 on the tach... What a rush! I had never had that happen before and it was up al least 2 feet according to witnesses!

If i had not been paying attention, I would have looped it because it was still pulling up!

I just thought i would share my new years day joy with you all!

Adam

So, that's why you bought the trunk, keep her on while pulling wheelies. You let her believe it was for her toiletries!

Two feet up at like, what 85-90? Eve would've shit. Then she would've killed me.

BTW, what's the story with those graphics at the bottom of your messages?

That is a memorial for 2 of my friends that died. Will (Repsol) Myers was killed when a car turned in front of him.

The other is Justin Carroll, who was killed in jail a week before getting out.

Both oif them were great guys that i rode with alot.

I did a similar act.

But I was in 2nd at maybe 8K rpm.

Hit a little crest, and what the F*&%?

It instantly red lined.

I was airborne!!

That'll clinch 'em together.

I don't think you guys fully appreciate the accomplishment. I rode with Adam in SE Missouri late August with FJRocket and Smitty141. I am 230#'s + and Adam makes me look dainty at approximately 350 #'s. He rides like a 150 # rider and has no fear on all of the curves and hilltops that we covered.

I guess that is what comes from being young and immortal. Me, I am old and break easy.

Congratulations Adam, hope to see you this summer down in SE MO again.

Why don't I doubt this story for one second?

Hahaha! Guess not!

I think my britches would need changing after that, but then to realize I'd survived it would only make me want to try it again. :D

Two comments:

1) What took you so long?
