I finally got around to putting the bike I'd gotten for the old lady to learn on/ride up for sale. 1983 Kawasaki KZ550 LTD. I put it on craig's list for 1200 firm which I thought was a low ball price considering it's condition (like brand new) but I wanted it to sell. Five minutes later I was hammered with emails the first one was ready to buy along with several others. So technically it's already gone.

Firts time I ever tried selling anything on craig's list. I guess I'll have to see what else I have to sell.

I've had great success with Craigslist (buying and selling vehicles), but, don't be too excited until it's actually sold (which I'm sure it will). Many email senders just don't follow through.

But with the price of fuel I bet you could have got twice that for that bike.. they are using them to replace pickups and suvs everywhere.

Man Ramblin'.. .that sure was a nice lil' bike. I tried to talk my friend into buying it fo sho, Heidi

Hmmm, I wonder if you'll see one just like it show up on the list at a higher price, before the responder actually pays you. Or am I too cynical.

I like Craigslist but buying off of it is a PIA sometimes. Many times the item is already sold or the person doesnt respond and/or pull their ad.

Was interested in a power washer for my mom and called this guy who had it listed (his ad indicated he wanted to be contacted that way).....the ad had only been up for 2-3 days and when he answers the phone he gets all pissy with me when I ask about the power washer, moaning about how the damn thing was sold and he wished people would stop calling him. I had to bite my tongue to remind him that his ad was still up and that he might not get calls if he were to remove it.
