Well, my plan as I mentioned starting the thread is working out. Picked up my rear wheel today--have a great shop that charged me $15 to mount and balance a used takeoff I had laying around... Putting it on tonight, off I go tomorrow. Have an 800 mile 2 day first of the year break in ride planned. Cruising through the middle of nowhere ending in NV. Forecast bluebird skies, high 60's low 70's. Sorry to those getting hammered in the east--what a crazy winter (or lack of, around here).
this last week up here is saskatchewan was finally bike season ( above freezing) and I had a chance to sample my newer(?) fjr that I bought 2 months ago….sweet (as I hoped it would be)… put on 500 km. Last nite we had a march snowstorm(spring?)….no more rides for a few weeks. Good news is…flying to vegas in 2 days for 2 weeks on my old(?) fjr which is stored in vegas for the winter (so I have been down there for 5 rides since oct….it has 153000 km(2006) and is running like a clock. Will ride it home end of may and then have to decide if one has to go. I already had a second backup street bike , my 08 1250 bandit which has had 35000 km put on in the last 3 years….decisions?
$59, it's connected with the Red Lion across the street (largest casino in elko), and I got two "free beer" coupons. Enjoyed some Final Four action Saturday night, the room was really clean and comfy. For those of you back east, I saw as high as 71 degrees
