i need help with mapsource

I have gone through and put in all suggested roads on the map using the route feature. Only now to discover I prob shoulda been using the track feature. I am at a point that I am trying to create loops to connect various roads and delete dangling ends but cannot do it.

I need some guidance on deleting ends and eliminating markers in the route that were placed just so the road would follow a certain path.

I can't get that to work. R click only wants to draw more and dble R click adds a waypoint??? L click describes current waypoint??
