As long as you're not having an illicit affair with GASP a snowmobile, then miss Yammie will stay happy.. Otherwise... oooh... one nasty divorce is on it's way :D
ILLICIT!!?? I will have you know that my Feej and I have an open marriage and there is nothing illicit about my winter-time relationship with 3 other (skiied) females, including a new sister from MamaYama expected to be delievered this month. Get over this small-minded, provincial attitude Don! :D
"Lil Bitch" wants me to treat her like a snowmobile. My wing got to play in the snow last year and "Lil Bitch" wants fair treatemnt. Long and the roads are clear and the ice aint on it. I shall ride...... Peace from Utah

Never understood the concept. There's got to be days without ice now and then even in the coldest clime. Just ride it! There is no such thing as too cold, too hot, too windy, too rainy, etc. Only too icy can keep me off the bike.
Yup, nice dry streets are tempting, until you come across a band of ice due to sun melt, in a nice fast corner. Like gravel in a turn, it only takes one bite to kill.
+1 Rad. …and to add to the unknown ice, there is also tons of salt and sand they dump on the roads (at least in the midwest). It only takes but a nano second to go down on a corner or intersection with sand & salt treated roads. It's not so much the cold but the road conditions. As others have said…I like the solution = move south. LOL. :D

Salt, calcium chloride and sand usually spell the end of my riding season until the spring rains clear things up. As long as the roads are warm enough not to support ice, riding is good. It usually takes until December for the roads to get cold enough to want to ice up and the end of April for them to want to shed ice again. In between is the whining, crying and pissy season

One of the reasons I got Feejer was to extend my riding season which it has done wonderfully B)

I'm with you ionbeam, the 1st time they salt the roads here, I'm done for the season, aluminum & salt just don't make good friends (pitting), but until then any excuse is a good excuse to bundle up & ride :D .....

Hey Guys! I live just south of Eugene..little town called Creswell..near Cottage Grove. We must get together next Spring and do some riding!! We were doing some group rides this summer with the Eugene Sportbike group. Usually my husband (and now my daughter) do weekend rides around the area..over to Florence or up towards Sisters. I know how you feel about putting your bike away for the winter. I don't mind rain but would rather not ride in it if I don't have to. We generally take them out during the winter if we have a nice sunny day. It's still cold but it's hard to go all winter without getting out on the bikes. I have an '05 that I have to take to the dealer in Cottage Grove. When I called the service dept to see if I could bring it in on Tuesday of this week, the service guy was surprised I'd ride it if it was raining. It's only a few miles away...and I do have rain gear! Anyway, have a great hunting trip!
I would love to get together. Just let me know when. During the summer months (April to Oct) it is a little harder to get away but with some planning I can usually figure somthing out. :D

Can't wait to see how long I can extend my riding season this year with my new electric clothing gear...

Salt on the road? Only if the bay washes over the seawall in Galveston!

FJRay, Good to hear from you. My wife and I are the owners of Hidden Pines RV Park not too far out of La Pine just off Burgess Rd. Stop by and say Hi.

Alan, you guys got any rides planned? Your welcome to come with us the Saturday after Thanksgiving, when we have our annual 'ride to the rock' (Plymouth Ma). Been doing this ride for about 7 years and we usually have between 3 and 8 bikes. Rain date is Sunday.

Thanks for the offer! Tentatively pencil me in, I need to check with my wife and see if I have plans I don't know about ;)

I know I'm free that weekend because my wife has entered the after Thanksgiving shopping frenzy-I just stay out of her way and nod my head as she shows me her 'great buys'

I guess this is the official "Time To Add The Weather Bug To My Sig" post.
Life sucks, don't it. :)
Yup, sure does, but then, can't recall the last time my street looked like this

As I sit here and watch the waves roll in, sipping my iced beverage (yeah) I wonder will it ever cool down, 90+ is just to hot for comfortable riding. See, we all have our cross to bear - :D

Do you guys have tent camping available?

I've ridden across the country a couple of times this year, got to drive out to Cali again....

BUT, I'm really getting tired of the superslabs... ! <G>

I searched, but you guys dont' have a web page, do you?

I did find a couple of referrals in Camping World's forums that gave your adress, tho...

We do have tent camping, although this time of year (Nov 1 to April 15) we have our rest rooms and showers shut down and winterized.

We have a small store, Laundry and 12 full hook-up sites that we keep open through the winter. April 15th things start to rock and everything is opened back up.

We are a Good Sam park off the beaten path. Clean and Quiet is what we have to offer. We would love to see you.

Oh, BTW we give a 15% discount to all that come in on motorcycles.
