I'm relieved to read that she is no longer suffering, but equally saddened by the loss for your beautiful family. I'm honored that you took time in this horrific day to update us.

Take it one day at a time. Try not to think too far ahead. Just get through today. Tomorrow will be here tomorrow.

And when it's time, honor your wife's wishes and go ride your bike. Bring your camera and tell us about it. I have found great comfort and even a little self therapy in writing ride reports and I hope you do too.

One day at a time.

My deepest and most sincere condolences. This thread has been tough for me to follow and I can't fathom how tough for you to write. Your family is in my prayers.

Adding my thoughts and prayers and condolences to you and your family during this difficult time. As has been said better than I could, she's at peace and a time of adjustment and healing has only just begun for you. One day at a time, one foot in front of the other, and eventually, one mile at a time.

So sorry for your loss MCA. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Mac, I'm sure I not the only one here who has shed a few tears following this thread. Wish we could do more but know you are in our hearts during this difficult time. Peace to you and your family, when the time is right and your heart leads you go for a good long ride.

Yes, well said Buggie.

Mac, I found this quote, don't know the author, but it has helped me when in your shoes. I hope it helps you too.

"We are permitted to grieve because we have been priviliged to love. To escape grief at the cost of never having loved is too dear a price to pay."

My sympathies, Mac. Your open sharing of this part of your journey has touched many of us. May you find comfort knowing that this network of friends shares in your loss.

It can't have been easy to pass this part of the story along to us, so thank you for making the effort to do that. So many of us have been following along with your journey and have come to care about the outcome. And of course your journey hasn't ended, so please feel free to keep on sharing here if that will help you. I know that time will begin to bring you peace.

Hope you can come to terms with what life has dealt you, and remember that some of it was good and warm and true.
