Lot's of 9, 45 and 223 around here, 22 is still hard to find.
I have a friend who has a nifty device for loading the Ruger magazines. it' makes it very quick and easy. And after saying that, I'll admit that I don't remember the name of it, who makes it, or exactly how it worked.I was just gonna say, I've played with that Ruger and it's a fine bit of kit!! But I HATE loading those clips!!!!!
Went for a nice ride to see the Grand Coulee Dam yesterday, and stopped in to the Big 'R' store in Omak. Wandered over to the firearms section, and while there a guy was buying some .22lr. Limit was 250 rounds per customer. The ammo is available in some areas, but in limited supplies..22 is scarce everywhere, except online where they are charging (and getting) super inflated prices. I have had some .22 on back-order from Cabellas for almost a year now..22LR is pretty scarce up here in 'guns are eeeevil' Canuckistan. I just bought a Henry Goldenboy .22, and managed to score a 500 brick of remington thunderbolt to add to the @ 500 various inherited from my nephew. Should be good for a couple of weekends.
I understand the ammo shortage is beginning to ease off
