Well, that's one way to break it in... :clapping:

We have the motoman way and now the OV way ;)

Glad you're relatively OK, could have been worse. I'd still consider a new lid, you're never really sure how hard you hit em, know what I mean?

So how bad are the X-Rays? And might I suggest some genuine Bark Busters before the next ride to protect your levers.

I'm surprised and sorry to find out about your get-off, but it's a good thing you are not too badly injured and can ride & post another day. Hopefully you aren't planning to put that helmet back into service. I have a Shoei RF-1000 in a nice match to Cerulean Silver, with only 23,000 miles that you can have, as I'm downgrading to something a bit softer. After losing my passenger because of a low-speed brain injury and JB's concussion saga, I'm ready to experiment with my almost-50y/o brain, which has been rode hard and put away wet more times than I care to try and remember.

So, do you have a cast? If so, can we sign it at Alice's Restaurant?

OV,

That completely sucks....Glad to hear that your pride is probably more busted up than your body. And it was just yesterday I was coveting that shiny, brand new bike of yours. Serves you right for being on the pavement with it anyway. Next time make sure you are in the dirt, it hurts a little less.

No cast yet. I am going to the Dr. this afternoon. If I didn't know it was broken, I could be hoping for a sprain. No xrays yet either.

ER's are for E's...not things like this. I've had worse!

I'm admitedly pissed about my bike, but my ego and pride are disturbingly unscathed. Things like this might be with us to remind us not to be too cocky. Mike-H reminded me about this. Suppose I should heed this fortunate reminder ;)

Glad your OK Andrew and hopefully you won't be out of the loop for too long. :(

Unlike some, I'm never concerned with the state of my vehicles when the unthinkable occurs. I always worry about myself first, vehicle second. If it ends up being that messed up, it just means its time to go shopping again. :hyper: :dribble:

BTW, If you need someone to keep that new bike of yours from getting bored in its new garage, I just happen to know someone who would put it to good use during the winter months. :D

So, what you're saying is...You backhanded the whole planet?

Holy **** that takes major balls.

Glad you're okay.

Ian knows me so well! Of course I can keep the battery charged on your bike while you heal, think nothing of it.

A Renthal and Bark Busters and you'll be better than new. Scratches on that bike show character.

Hope you heal quickly Andrew, Goat Trail is coming up and your DRZ would be perfect!

How else do you think earth quakes get started out here?

Would you believe that he is just now on his way to get the wrist x-rayed?!

Wow! Absolute drag hearing about this.

Just flew into Sacramento airport this afternoon, had I read this earlier I'd of brought you a bottle of scotch. :)

Heal up brother.

WOW -- guess I missed that part of your post -- you may have a broken wrist??? Hope not, but if so, may it heal quickly.

Oh man-o-man-o-man. Sorry to read this thread. Get well soon. I thought you had enough fun over the wekend? Email me if there is anything I can do to help. They say "it" happens quickly.....I guess they're right.

Hmmmm, major suckage, dude.

Sorry to hear about your slip & slide. I did the same thing July 4th, 1989....low side in the sand at a stop sign no less. Damn surface appraisal.

Andrew Andrew Andrew.........
