The OP has caused me stress, sweat and back ache due to this subliminal FJR washing thread. I did it and yes, Galaxy Blue is very handsome.

Never ever ever leave grasshopper guts on your tupperware as that chemical that predators hate to eat will boil a plastic finish in a few days .Wax on...wax off.

I wash mine all the time. The heated grips always come on after until the water dries off the contacts.

I spent about 3 hours detailing it after the 6100 mile trip. Between the bugs, dust, gravel, and tar, picked up along the way, I felt a little like a motocrosser. It wasn't a bad feeling, just wanted to make Alba clean again.

Don't let anyone give u crap about freshening her up again. It is part of the bonding experience. She can't wash herself u know.

Why? Ain't that what the chick in your avatar is for???
That cannot be allowed to happen without pictures!
WOW, that was way too funny. The chickie is the wife of 20+ years. If I can get her to wash the bike and get pictures of it in her bikini, I will be happy to post them on here. The Cubs will win the World Series & Hell will freeze over cause that has the same statistical possibilities as her soaping up the bike!!!

I can't complain about her and the bike much at all. She is the one who told me to go out to the Black Hillls and to California.

I might just have to put this in my signature line. I will laugh about it every time I post. U might live in infamy. Maybe I should show her your post. It might give her an idea------to poison my food!!
Or to kick Howie's ***. She wouldn't be the first woman with that life goal.

Got an address for Howie??

Maybe he can come to the NAFO meet. U can show h the naked pics of his wife.

Wait, I am just a FNG. I am just being sarcastic. Maybe Howie is like Leroy Brown.

Leroy trembles when Howie walks by, and the junkyard dog whimpers!

I heard it was the sheep that whisper when Howie walks by!
See, now your inexperience is showing. Howie's not into sheep. That's Bust. Implying Howie is into sheep will make Bust jealous and he will end up going south and jimmy-kicking Howie. That will piss off the locals and we'll have a whole north south thing going on again.

No, Howie is into Manatees. They are large, squishy and wet, and Howie loves their ticklish places. Freaking wierdo!

So, you have a hot young guy in your neighborhood, huh? ;) Really, JK.

That is what I thought too!! But with the 4 kids at home, I figured she would get caught by one of them. I thought about offering the kids a reward of 10 bucks if they caught her doing anything. But I know she is smarter than that. She would just double whatever I offered to them to keep it quiet.

(This is all a joke between us). Don't want anyone to get mad that we are making light of infidelity. But it seems this board-forum has few limits or boundaries.

Funny u say that about the young guy in the neighborhood, I am the young guy in the neighborhood by about 27 years. The next youngest guy on out street it 67. We are the only ones who leave for a job in the mornings. Everyone else is retired.

As I said in the previous post ... That is what the lower elevation looks like.
THIS is what it looks like higher up:

This video is the last half mile to the summit. I can attest that much of the previous five miles is the same ... Enjoy!

You were lucky the south side of the pass was closed at the top. You went up the easy side :) . The west side is substantially steeper and gnarlier, oh, and longer too :)

I agree with Justin.

From what I have seen, the worst of the north approach is like the best of the south side. Also, it is only about 7 miles to the summit from the north, but it is 24 miles out. This pass is graded for dirt bikes and 4 x 4s, and for good reasons.

I was lucky. I lived to tell the tale and it was a great adventure. I wasn't looking for a podium result on this one, and the time spent on the pass was a useful learning exercise.

However, there was a lesson learned too. I normally plan my rides rather better than this ... this is what happens when you don't!

Another infrequent washer here. I will get the bucket and suds out before maintenance sessions, that's about it.

I said I'd wash the ES more often, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Oh, well.
