This topic has alway been the same. Those that do, those that don't, and those who wave sometimes to certain types. Me I usually always wave no matter what, but never while cornering. PM. <>< :bye:
Ah, but PM, the corner wave is the King of all waves... it means you care enough about your fellow biker to relinquish control of your life, risking your very being to give your 2-wheeled brother a hearty Hello!....
Plus, if you read Lee Parks "Total Control" book, you'll see he advocates primarily steering in corners with only 1 hand anyway, so you might as well find something to do with the other one...
Funny you say that. I was on the road that basically goes from the nuclear power plant to El Campo about a year ago. I was on my Goldwing, and really had it laying on its saddle bags around an 80 degree sweeper. A guy on a Ninja coming the other way leaned over further than me (not hard to do) waved at me in mid corner. Ever since then, I have considered it my duty to do the same.
About a month ago I was on my Goldwing with my wife on back. She really doesn't care how fast I corner if its not a blind curve. I waved to a guy in mid corner while leaned pretty far over. My wife later asked if that was really necessary. Of course it was. Strangely, she really didn't argue.
You and I still need to pick a time and get together. If we both ride 10 minutes towards each other, we will meet down on NASA 1.
