IBA Cert received

Got my Iron Butt Certificate yesterday. Just shy of 8 months after the ride, but a letter explained that they had lost a couple of the committee members, (not deceased, just retired). All in all, not too bad as I've heard of certs taking better than a year or more. Toe, you ready for another?

I just received a significant-to-me cert within the last week. From a little ride back in July of '06. Looks like they are getting caught up.

I guess you have to send in the papers and bucks to get one. Can't seem to get that part together....

I've convinced myself that fall, probably mid-October, will be the best time to make another attempt, before the snow flies and after the summer travel and road construction season.

I'm also resigned to the fact that the route I have planned may not be do-able as a BBG, due to the legal ramifications of trying to get the average speed up after two Sierra traverses and a ride through Bay-area traffic, but a California in-state BB would be a worthwhile accomplishment. I'd just hate to end up making it in 25 hours. :angry:

Either way, I plan to run it as a mini-rally, with participants leaving at staggered times, and gathering afterward for a party. That kind of ride is definitely not a group affair.

My pleasure compadre', glad you like it. More posts by guys receiving their IBA certs are poping lately so your's probably is in the pipeline.
