!!!DOUG!!!, Oh My!! WAY TO GO DUDE!! That is fantastic. Holy Phuck you really jumped into that LD thing!! Great job and thanks for sharing your adventure here. I like all of it ...and the initial part about having dinner with Smitty in SD, and then two days later on the other side of the country..... kinda puts it in perspective.

Well, after this huge accomplishment, so early in your LD tenure, what next?

Glad that yellow bike did so well, you wear that ride well.

Hope to see you soon.

cheers ....renojohn

I am finishing preparations of my VFR for Long Distance Service by adding PHID lights and a Pro-oiler. Didn't someone else around here do that do their Honda???

What is next? Next weekend, Big Sur and San Francisco. Then April 18-20 a trip to San Simeon with the Sport-Touring.net guys. April 26 LowCal 250, look forward to seeing you and Craig again. THEN, if all works out, May 16-18 Nevada 1099. It will be nice to see Monte again, and this time it should not be snowing, like at the White Stag...

Hal, I just got home tonight & will try a write up in the next day or two.

"FJR Robert, it was really nice to put a face to the name. I am so glad you got better from your illness. I was very worried about you, and glad you made it. Seeing you and your FJR 1,700 miles into the ride pass me by in East Texas was one of the highlights of the trip. As you said, it was amazing running into fellow riders in surprising places out on the road."

Doug it was really good to meet you and feel the light you give off with your enthusiasm. Wasn't sure if I'd make the start but once underway total commitment kicked in & saw me thru to the finish.

Gerbings jacket liner and Classic gloves-worth every penny-this ride would not have been possible without them; Corbin seat, fits me perfectly-I could ride 1,000 miles today if I wanted to...
Dang Doug!! John just filled me in on your 50CC today. Quite a testament to your preparation and the help on this forum. Yea, good luck wearing out the VFR... just plan a date down the road to get your FJR without that stipulation!!

See ya soon...
