He's a forum member here (or at least was at one point), and his bike has been posted on here before.

The folks at ST.N have at least one point wrong. His tank does not conform to IBR fuel requirements. If I recall correctly he's way over the limit with 13+ gallons.

He's a hell of a rider from everything I've ever heard of the guy. One of those people who can just rack up the miles and think nothing of it.

That's what we're all talkin' about. It's an extension of the gas tank -- a big block welded to the top. I really like the idea.

It's an abomination.... John could've added aux fuel in a much more reasonable manner.... a pillion cell, a tail-dragger, on the rear Givi rack, etc.... but this grafted tower is more sensationalistic than anything else. I've seen it up close/personal: while the mechanical job itself is very good indeed, it's still an extremely ill-advised placement, IMO. However, John is a big boy and can make his own decisions.

That said, I am, admittedly, fearful of the outcome of a front-end collision. The metal tower is not going to do his sternum/chest area any favors in a sudden impact....
