Location
St. Louis, MO
I debated whether I should post these, since they generally don't like to reveal the locations of the "bonii", but since they posted it publicly on the IBR website last night and, since this location was only available for 3 hours after the start and is now closed, I assumed it would be OK.

This is the Gateway Arch downtown in St. Louis, only 23 miles from the hotel where they started. Here's the empty parking lot, where I arrived about 15 mins before the first rider, Rob Nye, on his ridiculously tricked out BMW R1200RTP. I believe that's Dick Fish on the Buell behind him.

Check out the look of concern on Iggy's face! Only 23 miles down and 3500 - 4500 to go for the first leg!

More arrivals and waiting in line like tourists ...

A parking lot full of bikes now, some parked downstairs out of the rain ...

This is the bonus they were waiting to bag ... a mural that depicts the "Builders" of the Arch.

Stopping to log that receipt and stow it away securely before departing.

Yep, thanks for posting the pictures.

How long was the wait? Is it hot and humid in SL?

Thanks for the post, like was already said, almost as good as being there. Too bad the rest of the bonii won't be as easy

Everyone was out of there inside of an hour. And yes, It's was humid here today, but temps only in the low 80s due to clouds and rain.

However, if you check out their route, they will be seeing much more rain and some possibly severe storms. Looking at their progress on Star-Traxx, they are only averaging about 52 mph, not too good considering how far they have to go. I would assume the weather might have something to do with that though.

Yep. Dick Fish is on a Buell. My understanding is that his GS croaked on him days before the rally start.

In photo 3, that's L to R Dick Fish and then Mike Getzendanner (gold wing).

SUCKAHS!

The other entrance was about a 2 second wait. Heh, already scouted this for Spank.

Man I'm bummed I'm not there for the fun.

Boo fricken HOO.
