Naaah the Jim Beam was to cleanse the wound with alcohol I think but may need a swig when alcohol hits the wound :lol:Were you hitting the Jim Beam before you tried to load the bike on the lift??? I just noticed it on your table
I sure needed some after the resident stabbed me with that huge horse needle in the ball of my thumb!! Jesus jumpin jiminey, that hurt a hell of a lot worse than the original wound.Naaah the Jim Beam was to cleanse the wound with alcohol I think but may need a swig when alcohol hits the wound
frito1, Whose exhaust pipes are you running on your Twin Cam 88? Are you happy with them? Do they have the tunable discs so you can keep them quiet? I have the same engine in my H-D and I am currently running staggered dual exhausts, I want to go to a two-into-one exhaust on my Harley with tunable discs, for more power but not overly loud! There are times when decades old technology is a good thing. All I gotta say is "flat-bottom bikes, you make the rockin' world go 'round!"
Well, if it'd wobbled the other way, it would have been fine, I would have just pushed it back up. The fact that it went away from me was the problem... no leverage! If only I'd had something to hook a foot on!Oh I think everybody has done that at one time or another if they do more than change the oil on their own bikes. Be happy it did not fall the other way into the other bike!
Even if it doesn't, when the owner finds it, plenty of noise is made. Usually a loud bellowing noise consisting of a string of four letter words. If an FJR falls in the garage, and there is nobody around to hear it, does it make a noise?
It's a Rich Products Thunderheader with a Jet Hot coating. Very deep and mellow at idle & low load, nasty loud when you whack it. If you have a subtle wrist you can move around without making a lot of noise. What drew me to the Thunderheader was its similarity to the sound of a small block Chevy with open headers. It is not adjustable.frito1, Whose exhaust pipes are you running on your Twin Cam 88? Are you happy with them? Do they have the tunable discs so you can keep them quiet? https://www.supertrapp.com/product_sections/detail.asp?CatID=10&ItemID=628-78088 Many Thanks, frito1; the problem is Super Trapp surprisingly does not make a two into one for the FXD series, can only get the tunable discs in the slip ons for staggered duals! If you want an adjustable 2 to 1 a Super Trapp is the ticket.
