All I gotta say is "flat-bottom bikes, you make the rockin' world go 'round!"
There are times when decades old technology is a good thing.

Naaah the Jim Beam was to cleanse the wound with alcohol I think but may need a swig when alcohol hits the wound
I sure needed some after the resident stabbed me with that huge horse needle in the ball of my thumb!! Jesus jumpin jiminey, that hurt a hell of a lot worse than the original wound.

It was kind of interesting driving the SV back with a half-numb hand. Fortunately it was 5am by that time, there was no traffic, and *every one* of the 11 lights between the hospital and home turned green as I drove up. I think I said "thank you for turning green" to every light. :)

i think i have about 10ish more years of working on them on the floor, though my right knee might not agree :dead:

If a motorcycle falls in the garage and there is nobody there to see or hear it fall, has it really fallen? Or has it only really fallen when you walk into the garage and see the bike laying on its side? Just a question for all those who have experienced the ultimate humiliation.

frito1, Whose exhaust pipes are you running on your Twin Cam 88? Are you happy with them? Do they have the tunable discs so you can keep them quiet? I have the same engine in my H-D and I am currently running staggered dual exhausts, I want to go to a two-into-one exhaust on my Harley with tunable discs, for more power but not overly loud!

Oh I think everybody has done that at one time or another if they do more than change the oil on their own bikes. Be happy it did not fall the other way into the other bike!

Well, if it'd wobbled the other way, it would have been fine, I would have just pushed it back up. The fact that it went away from me was the problem... no leverage! If only I'd had something to hook a foot on!

It's a Rich Products Thunderheader with a Jet Hot coating. Very deep and mellow at idle & low load, nasty loud when you whack it. If you have a subtle wrist you can move around without making a lot of noise. What drew me to the Thunderheader was its similarity to the sound of a small block Chevy with open headers. It is not adjustable.

If you want an adjustable 2 to 1 a Super Trapp is the ticket.

https://www.supertrapp.com/product_sections/detail.asp?CatID=10&ItemID=628-78088 Many Thanks, frito1; the problem is Super Trapp surprisingly does not make a two into one for the FXD series, can only get the tunable discs in the slip ons for staggered duals! I love the look of 2 into 1 pipes.

I'm sure if it would've been you wife, she only would've torn a nail...my wife would probably had called the firefighters, police, etc...plus a crane just to make sure I don't notice anything by the time I walk into the garage.
