Hey Tom, can I ride that one?
WTF? Is this the same ToeCutter lecturing me about land-splitting and hooliganism?! Tsk Tsk...It may have looked crazy to the casual observer, but when I scare myself, it's time to back off. No scary moments on that encounter, just good felonious fun.
Does that mean I get to *finally* see the video? OBTW, TC is not the princely guy you might think; that kid likes to ride and is not afraid of speed... it's all about the exposure factor. Maybe 20 cars saw the dance, a video can be seen by, well, at least 30! . OBTW, see my other comments in the JB video post for 'the rest of story'.. .WTF? Is this the same ToeCutter lecturing me about land-splitting and hooliganism?! Don't get me wrong--I dig doing what you write about here, and I enjoyed your post. :clapping: Actually, I've done very little of that kind of racing, and tend to back off as soon as I realize the cage is getting too aggressive, 'cause the consequences are too great if he f**cks up--we both go to jail (he'll kill someone; I'll only kill myself).
Anyway, ToeCutter, I was surprised by this post after your telling me about how my behavior jepordizes motorcyclists' rights and all by creating a bad impression. Is the difference that I make videos, whereas you just write about your stuff? As far as I can tell, the behavior's the same. :glare:
I'm not trying to crucify you or anything; I just got the impression you must be Mr. Straight-and-Narrow to have taken the position you did (yes, I remember how you opened your post....).
I feel let off the hook. Anyway, I deleted my mea culpa in the other thread....
Jb
Yep. That and the fact that none of my passes were between cars. And to the onlookers, it was obviously a case of self defensive driving, me fleeing that crazed lunatic in the evil black sports car, trying to run me over.Anyway, ToeCutter, I was surprised by this post after your telling me about how my behavior jepordizes motorcyclists' rights and all by creating a bad impression. Not quite. My speed was about twice what I saw in your video. As far as I can tell, the behavior's the same. :glare:
More like Mr. Holier-Than-Thou. Mr. Straight-and-Narrow would have called you names. It's all about the film footage. I could have made my stuff up, yeah?I'm not trying to crucify you or anything; I just got the impression you must be Mr. Straight-and-Narrow to have taken the position you did
And I'm sure some of them were on the cell phones to report it to the local authorities. The longer I ride, the mellower I get, knowing that the stuff I've gotten away with so far has been a giant blessing and not taken lightly.Maybe 20 cars saw the dance
Damn, that would be one "tough on the clock" SS1K going backwards!! Mission Impossible II eh?? Hmm :blink:It's almost been a year since the ride. Ian, wanna try it backwards? It would be quite the challenge! We could call it Mission Impossible II.
Sounds like it might become a movement!Damn, that would be one "tough on the clock" SS1K going backwards!! Mission Impossible II eh?? Hmm
Downtown SFO at around 2.00am?
And then how about Mission Impossible III with a SS2K consisting of both directions back to back?
And three people do it, three, can you imagine, three people walking insingin a bar of Alice's Restaurant and walking out. They may think it's an
organization. And can you, can you imagine fifty people a day,I said
fifty people a day walking in singin a bar of Alice's Restaurant and
walking out. And friends they may thinks it's a movement.

"Uh, your honor. That's not me. I swear! Do you see my face anywhere while the bike is moving?" :no:It's all about the film footage. I could have made my stuff up, yeah?
