If you purchased a TPS from Gary Mccoy

For those of you that purchased a TPS from Gary Mccoy @ University Motors and replaced it yourself prior to the Recall, email Gary your Vin#, Mileage, and he will credit your purchace price ! He even offered to reimburse me for the return postage to send the old TPS back !

So apparently the TPS that he sold prior to the recall is the old part?

In August (8/06) I contacted Gary for a replacement TPS. He told me that the '04 P/N was now replaced with a new TPS P/N. After doing a bit of checking we found out that the new P/N is the same as the TPS installed on the '06 and the new TPS P/N is the one specified in the recall.

I'm confused

Then this confuses me

No '06 FJR TPS are being recalled. Zero.

USA model years '03 to '05 came with TPS P/N 5PS-85885-00-00 installed. BAD.

USA model '06 came with TPS P/N 5PS-85885-01-00 installed. GOOD.

The P/N that is being recalled is TPS P/N 5PS-85885-00-00 -- The P/N that is being supplied to replace these BAD TPS is 5PS-85885-01-00 which is also the P/N of the TPS that was factory installed in the '06 FJRs.

Is that have been done more gooder to unwrong the not right? :dribble:
