FRJChik has left with the people driving NASCAR and Beeroux is now holding court with his SaddleSore riders' meeting. Seems some people didn't read their packets and trying to pass of things like t-shirts and flags as "towels". He's doing Sesame Street "t-o-w-e-l" language lessons....and got the virgins scared shitless.

dcarver is standing up as we speak and clinching his demise as CBA President.

Several of the towels that are...actually towels.....have great artwork and completely unseemly things written on them.

And myself....well...I just drained the last drops on a bottle of 12 year old Mcallan that Fairlaner donated to the day's cause.....it's gooooood.

...now George is singing a song. "City, state, date. ....Tiiiime....and Voluuuuume." It's got a good beat and easy to rally to. ;)

Thanks for all you guys are doing.... All these roadrashes and trashing all these bikes has gotta stop!!!

and.. by the way... you mentioned pics... we ain't seein any..... <_< :dribble: :yahoo:

ride safe zookeepers.........

So I was flying back to Boston from Seattle today and I asked the pilot if he could dip a little south, ya know, toward Golden CO. So I got to see you guys down there today. Cut that **** out! Yer all having too much fun. Well most of you anyway. Hope I don't read about any more crashes or violated oil pans. Anxiously awaiting some photos.

People are starting to roll in. 52 have checked in and more on the way.
From the unfortunate-rock-in-the-road department we have a report that BKR CHK split her oil pan in Steamboat Springs. A rock in the road was not king. Ruined rear tire and while she is 1/2 way here with a U-haul and the bike.....Taff came ahead and found Warchild and Fairlainer to ask for advice about parts.

As luck would have it, one of our local sponsors, Colorado Powersports was up to the challenge and found an oil pan, and is having it overnighted. There's a fair chance she can get it fixed tomorrow! That is amazing...they could do an oilpan in one day.

...if not...we'll be looking at JB Weld and a parking lot issue.

I guess you can't have a NAFO without breaking a few parts and a high-side here and there.

I made it here with 2 AAA plus tows no U-hauls were available. I want to give a big hug and special thanks to Taff. He does not really know me well, but he went to Colorado Power Sports when he got here and ordered an oil pan for me and had it shipped next day and he paid for it of course I need to reimburse him for it, but means I will get the parts on Friday instead of Monday and I should have the bike back Friday. and will have a great weekend.

Also Warchild and Iggy helped out so much.

I also want to thank all the other FJR riders who passed us and waved we waved back so every one thought we were Ok and in fact every thing was Ok and under control. Im an sure that if we made some distress signal such as a thumbs down or waving our arms they would have stopped.

ALL you FJR Forum people ROCK!!!

Thanks every one,

Lori

PS Do I qualify for the crash club now?

Well, I was feeling sorry for myself- starting a new job and all, but at least I am safe at home/work. You guys/gals stop crashing!! Where is Madmike when you need to have someone give the NAFO riders a stern talking to? LOL.

Morning after the big day of primary check-in and we have about 2/3 of the people here.

We inundated the bar/restaurant last night and most were in bed by midnight.

The SaddleSore folks are off now...about 3 hours into their ride...probably around Mt. Evans is my guess.

I see a few faces having breakfast and the weather looks nice.

Check-in is open at 9 a.m. and then closed again at noon so staff like myself can can enjoy a bit of the afternoon.

I'm hoping to go to the Spyderco knife factory that a local recommended. Then BBQ this evening.

NAFO is happening!

Oh, and one of those distrubing things that's hard to block out...and in our NAFO photo gallery:

Dear Ignacio: Thank you very much for this Report and thanks for the Photo Gallery. Looks like everyone is having big fun!

Could you please post a photo of SkooterG's "Dirty Old Whore"? Have a broken parts betting pool going on here in Phoenix!

I'll ask the photographer, Pegscraper, to snap a couple shots of his bike.

I'd do it, but I forgot my cable to download pictures. :dribble:

Tell John (MNFJR05) to screw himself. Word from the SO is that he called from there to rub in the fact I wasn't able to make it there, while I was up at Lake of The Woods showin' the locals what real speed is. Tell him Two Harbors to home in 2 hours. Then tell him to screw himself agin. And tell everybody NO MORE CC CLUB ENTRIES FOR THE DURATION!!!!!!!!!

Rad, if you made it from Two Harbors to Lakeville, in 2 hrs, how did you manage to avoid the troops in maroon colored cars at what had to be a 100mph average for two hrs?

Aww I'm Hurt!!! :( Why ya wanna leave me out?

Me an' my ball are goin' home :blum:

Been a while since my last report, but I've been REALLY busy organizin', event managin', troubleshootin',.........and.........ah screw it.

I've been having fun, riding my bike, eating good food, smoking cigars, and boozing it up.

The highlights I remember from yesterday:

I drove to the north end of Golden and visited the Spyderco factory outlet store and scored a cool Salt 1 knife.

Then Big Chief Stinky Pants and I took the back way to Idaho Springs to meet up with Skooterg and rode to Mt. Evans. That was a beautiful ride. An '03, '04, and '05 that were fellow IBR finishers....and nary an altitude issue with the bikes. ;)

Once back we had dinner and the hightlight for me was MNFJR calling up Radman on the cell phone, placing it on speaker and the house microphone, and over 200 people yelling, "Hi Radman!"

His response was stuttered, confused, and classic.

Most of the Saddle Sore riders finished their adventure with some great roads...although I think a few had to bail out and find hotels to sleep. I'll found out today how the details went.

Planned today is a group photo at 5 p.m. Not only would it be a first NAFO, but even WFO hasn't been able to pull one off with all the bikes since maybe WFO-3. We're hoping to get most everybody today with a 6th floor vantage point.

More dinner tonight and tall tales told in the parking lot.

Sorry about no pics myself. I didn't bring the right cable for my camera. I'll upload when I get back. But, do look at Pegscraper as he's updating. I asked him to get some shots of Skooterg's bike and shirt backs.

Later. Time for more frivolity, fun, and friends.
