In the August 08 issue of cycle world in their recall roster they show NHTSA recall no. 08v131000 that is for almost the same problem or at least the same results of the bike losing power. This is for the Victory Vision. I wonder if or when one might be issued for the FJR's

Is there a problem with FJR's losing power, due to a bad on/off switch? I haven't heard about this.

It's clear why the NHTSA recalled those 'Victory Visions' - They're so ridiculously ugly, they should be off the road.

Well, JRO asked a question about something he didn't know about, people took time to reply with insults but not with knowledge.

Well, I certainly wouldn't call them insults.

And now he knows that a simple search of the forum will most likely lead him to the path of ignition switch enlightenment.

And, I didn't see you providing any 'helpful' knowledge there, sparky. Just bitchin.

I guess I missed the switch discussion. So what? Mine works; to hell with everybody else's.

I wasn't offended. I like the hole I'm living in. If I advertised it too much, others would move in.

I remain unsurprised about the Victory Vision problems. It looked interesting in the magazines, but when I saw the thing in real life. Gag. I wasn't sure if it was a joke, or if I'd had too much Vitamin T. A bike that ugly, should be broken. It deserves to be recalled. The designers are probably in the 6th grade (7th, next school year). On the off chance they're not, there should be a public flogging.

Oh, well. I have to get up in the morning, and help a kid run a bulldozer.

This topic has been posted nearly every day for months, and both the main threads are still active today. In Advanced Search type in Ignition and select "7 Days or Newer" Click. Voila. -OR- click on View New Posts.

Nah, if I worked for Yamaha I'd say "they all do it" Wait they do so can't say that. Then this "What did you do to it to cause this"

Cant figure out why thread got busted down to this forum when it pertains to a common FJR pblm that I think should be address. Maybe the mods should read the entire thing and reflect on it. (I guess the mod's will give me a time out for that one!)
