How to you access the ignition coils on a 2004 FJR?

My guess is same as Gen 2..... remove both front lower fairings and you'll see them on the upper part of the frame in front of the engine.

I don't know that you'd have to remove BOTH fairings, they're on the right side of the frame opposite of the battery.

At least that's where they put 'em on my GEN II.

Anyone put the coil overs from a GEN III into a I or II yet?

I just had to deal with this. Pull off the right side large lower fairing and the right side black plastic piece that is closest to the tank. After that, you can reach both coils.

Right you are! Dunno why I said "both". I'll blame it on lack of sleep from watching all the hockey playoffs.....................
