Good question! Actually I would like to get a new bike and this will be the motivation for it...although I am very happy with my '04.

When you can have a GREAT solid color paint job for less than $1k, I'd pay careful attenion to how much you're spending on a new bike just to get a certain color. Don't forget farkle investment you'd lose by upgrading.

Seriously though. I always here people complaining about what colors are available when painting is such a common and not-that-expensinve thing. If you're willing to pull all the parts to be painted and put it all back together, it's very reasonable.
