I ordered a "set" of tires in September, didn't inspect when they arrived.

Past 90 day return policy from vendor.

When I went to install them I discovered my error.

My stupidity may be your gain if you can use this tire!

Retail $125 at Power sports Super Store.

I'll sell for $100 and pay the shipping to anywhere in CONUS.

I think they may fit an ST 1300 if someone owns one.

HAhA! Lookeeee heeere! Dumb *** o' the week award goes to?

John try to do a swap at an MC dealer...I have done that having a new tire left over from a bike I sold.

So, did you accidentally order the wrong size or did they not send what you asked for? The reason I ask is that I don't remember ever checking the sizes of tires when they show up at my door, and I sometimes buy them well in advance of when I install them.

I once ordered two sets of tires, different brands but the right sizes, and I received three front tires and one rear. The mistake was obvious immediately. The vendor send me the correct rear tire that was missing and credited me for the extra front but never asked for it back.

As far as I can tell it was my Bad, I ordered through Amazon, the "set" was shipped from two vendors, the front tire that shipped was what I ordered, I just F()cked up!

Gawd, I hate it when I do **** like that! I wish I could say it was only once, but it gets worse as I get older. Here's my best FJR ******* didn't open the box moment, though:

When I bought my FJR in April '05 in Carson City, I also bought a top case for it from the dealer, who had to order it. It came in a couple weeks or so later and I picked it up, but never opened the box, assuming I got what I ordered. Didn't have a use for it that year, and was busy during the following winter working on farkling the FJR and an '03 Honda Blackbird (while returning a '97 Blackbird to OEM condition for sale). Lots to do that didn't initially include anything to do with the top case.

Finishing all that and getting ready to go to SoCal for ten days in late April 2006, I finally opened the cardboard box with the intention of setting up the mounting plate, installing the back pad and then the top case on the bike. Oh ****! The dealer gave me a SILVER (as in 2003 model silver) top case!!! I took it back, in the box, pristine, all receipts and parts, but the dealer (Michael's in Carson City) wouldn't do a thing for me, including order me some Galaxy blue paint. My fault for not catching their error in a timely manner, but their attitude was pretty poor for a customer who had not only bought a new bike and accessories, but was regularly in buying gear, supplies and accessories for three bikes.

I had a silver top case on a blue bike (though it has matching silver side panels) until I got it painted in late 2009, which is why it's Galaxy Blue on the outside and silver in the middle now.

That is the front tire for a Honda ST1300, all years. I loathed having a bike with an oddball sized tire. If that tire had been damaged beyond repair while I was on the road I would have been stranded, possibly for days waiting on a new tire. With the FJR I can get a sport bike tire to get me home if necessary.

I think there is one other bike that uses that size but I cannot recall what it was. Probably something obscure and European.

John, Try to post on www.cog-online.org for the old C10 Connie, or the www.st-owners.com for the (old) ST1300.

Unfortunately, They tend to like longer life tires than Pirelli. YMMV

I learned to check the sizes immediately. I buy my tires from my friendly, local Kawasaki dealer, and I ordered a set for my ZRX once. I noticed after I'd paid for them that the rear tire was a size too small. I pointed it out, and the parts guy saId "Well, no wonder it was so cheap." He apologized profusely, and I just told him I wouldn't need them for a while and it was no big deal. When the right one came in a couple of days later he said there would be no additional charge for getting it right the second time ;)

It might not be entirely your fault.

Mrs Twigg bought shoes from Amazon some time ago. She picked the size from a "drop-down" box. The system seems to have screwed up and they sent her the size that is the default choice in the box before you select.

Amazon at first baulked at paying the return shipping, but a quick call sorted that out..

It is a common Cruiser bike size as well.

Roadstar Warriors use them and I'm on that forum so I'll give it a go there

In Red/Green land they'd just cut an inch out of the middle and duct tape it back together, right as rain. You got big balls to admit this on a Friday around here, good luck with getting rid of the dead body.....

I would call Amazon and explain what happened. See if they would do an exchange, you never know.

El Juan de Grande del Dakota Sur, don't be so damn hard on yourself Brother. Old Michael O'Keeffe, ShinyPartsUp McNamara and Papa Chuy Viejo have decided to mail you a temporary "Official Irishman Card" valid for sixty days. Below is a snippet from an email that I sent to that ******* Dane, Dr. Rich:

Mick Bro': Amen on the Joys and Blessings of being Irish! My personal Hero is Irish Billy Conn "The Pittsburg Kid", he went twelve rounds with my other Irish Hero Joe "The Brown Bomber" Louis. Billy danced around Joe the entire fight, then in the last round with his Corner cursing him in Gaelic: He went toe to toe with Louis, hardest puncher on record!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Conn After Billy was revived with smelling salts, the famous Announcer Walter Winchell asked him what in the Hell he was thinking:

"When asked by Winchell why he went for the knockout, Conn replied famously, "What's the use of being Irish if you can't be thick (i.e. stupid)?" Later he'd joke with Louis, "Why couldn't you let me hold the title for a year or so?", to which the Brown Bomber responded, "You had the title for twelve rounds and you couldn't hold on to it."' With Fenian blood coursing throughout my veins, my Hibernian Heart swells with unbridled pride on those profound words!

John... Don't be too hard on yourself.... At least you ordered a tire. If you had been a Sgt. in the Army of Irish decent, you probably would have ordered a tank track! We sea-faring guys are just a little smarter than the land grunts.

I've got friends who ride everything under the sun. If the offer is good to everyone and you'd like me to, I'll put the offer out to them, and they can contact me if interested, and I can pass it along.
