Sorry to hear about your bad judgement luck, Adam. Hope you get it repaired and get home soon.
Such a small price to pay to be loved by such beautiful women!

At least you're a LUCKY *******! I feel like Red on 'That 70's Show' -

DUMB ASS! Hey, that's just fun to say at 04:07 in the morning!

HRZ rocks - think about it this way - if you'd not have pulled the ******* stunt, you'd never know what a great guy HRZ is!

Sorry to hear about your mechanical woes, but glad you had a good rally. Wished I could have made it up there but it wasn't to be. Special kudos to HRZ for going above and beyond. His kharma bank runneth over!

HotRod, you went beyond the call of duty on this one, your Karma will be full of the good **** for a long time to come. Or maybe, just maybe you're still paying some back? Good on you, Brother. It was a pleasure finally meeting you this weekend. It was a pleasure meeting your brother as well, the stories of our Guv were hilarious. See you down the road!

Ok everyone...Don't fall down all over yourselves about how I'm such a nice guy. It was either take GB home or have him be my roomate for the next 4 days. That decision was no decision at all! :p

As ****** up as it sounds, it was gonna cost him a fortune to try to get that bike on a truck, and I had no idea what it took to get the pan off. If I woulda known it is as easy as GB now says, we coulda done that yesterday instead of driving. Either way, he, the bike and me all got home safe.

I had such a blast this weekend, it was totally worth it.

so it is what i thought, the weld of your pipes cracked it.

you got it off so get that bitch to a weld shop and have them fix it, should be really cheap.

That is exactly what happened.

I have the pan at the welder now, And should have it back in an hour.

Since that oilpan gasket is available NOWHERE, Can i use some high temp RTV in place of it or just buy a felpro kit and tap a new one out??

I obviously have not taken an oil pan off of an FJR, but from my last experience with one, I would do both. Put a small strip of RTV on the pan, then the gasket, and then another small strip of RTV on the gasket and stick the pan onto its place. I bet it will never leak. If you do use RTV, make sure you use a small bead. You don't want that stuff squishing out and falling down into your pan.

Take pictures before you're done.

I'm picturing Adam in the passenger seat, and ya'll hauling ass back to Kingman, making great time, towing the trailer with the police car, siren and lights blazing :yahoo:

'Zilla - good on ya for helping a brother out. Even if said brother is a *******.

Sorry to here about the little f-up. At least its only parts not skin and bone. If you do need a new pan I called my son who works parts at Walts in Havasu. With racers discount he said $225.00 His name is Myles. I wish I could have made it on the ride. To much stuff going on to make it.I went to Page last year that was a blast. I will be on the next ride.

A little quick dry J&B weld, some emery cloth, replacement oil and an hour of time and you would have been in the saddle twisting the throttle.

Got the FJR running again! :clapping:

I ran out of time to finish putting it back together, SO it will sit nekkid for a couple weeks!
