Well I just went out this morning and purchased at 2010 FJR from the local dealer! I traded in my beloved 2004 FZ1 "skunk" that I purchased new. I used to have an 07 FJR but traded it on an 08 GL1800 (which is also an awesome bike) but now I am back on the FJR. The GL1800 was a very fine machine but too steep for my wallet so I sold it. I think I got a good deal on the 2010 FJR. I missed the razor sharp handling along with the smooth ride and of course all the gadgets. Looking forward to enjoying this one. Tomorrow is my 50th birthday and this was my present to myself. Now just to figure out how to tell the wife that's not an FZ1 in the garage. Pics to follow.

Happy Birthday, Nice present.

The 09 was my 60th Bday present. (Yes I've been counting)

You sold your FZ1?? I hope your wife kicks your *** :big_boss:

Congrats on the Feejeer and your 50th B Day, did you get your AARP letter yet? Those bastages.

I was on a FJR road trip in Anacortes on my big 50. Go for a long ride with pictures!

Aw man, you should have posted the skunk for sale here and on FZ1OA, you'd have probably got more $$$ than trading it in. I love the skunk color, use to have an 01 blue before the FJR myself. Kinda wish I could have kept it, but not enough room in the garage for 2 bikes. Enjoy your birthday present!

LOL. I think the *** kick is coming. But she is a Harley girl so the FZ1 was not her thing. Thanks to everyone for all the birthday wishes. 40 was hard, 50 is looking awesome!

Fjrrr,

Congrats on you beautiful 2010 (like mine 2010-7)!

Sorry to hear about your FZ1 Skunk... another wonderful bike.

Many Happy Miles & Smiles to you...

Welcome back . . . and you already know the drill about its farkling requirements. ;)

An FJR makes a GREAT birthday present to yourself, doesn't it? I picked my '05 up on my 53rd birthday back in April '05. Easily the best all round motorcycle I've owned in 40-some years of riding the things.

The farkle list has already started and is easily over 1500! It will take awhile for me to find that much in the budget, but heh it's winter so plenty of time. :yahoo: Funny thing, I owned the FZ1 since new and really couldn't see selling it but I'm not missing it like I thought I would. Fun times ahead.

BTW here's an old pic of my first FJR. My wife and I took our first anniversary trip up to the dragon and Maggie Valley.
