SS1K is for pussies and toddlers.
Arrived SB from Jamestown (Includes 3 hours for S/S/S/S stop) 1730 hours - 3 hours to spare.... 1530.7 miles (GPS, Odo shows about 60 more IIRC).
I have half a mind to shower-up and head to San Diego and back. Heck, I'll have an extra 2 hours if I leave right now! Too bad the other half of my mind is about to hit the pillow. :sleepy: :nea:
One more thing before I crash... Always, always, ALWAYS make sure your luggage is closed and secure prior to blast-off. Trying to find 8 gas receipts, your log and a host of undergarments in need of laundering that have all been scattered about the roadside at O-Dark Thirty, is not fun. Nor is thinking that you are fishing the last receipt out of a 1 foot deep stream while trying to make like a trout - only to find said receipt hiding behind the bridge abutment - any fun either. And putting said items in a ZipLok bag that actually locks, would help in their recovery if you do forget to zip the cover on your tail bag.
...and to all, a good night.
Shucks :blushsmiley:Here's a big congratulatory :kiss2: from SkooterG to all youse fellas.
You guys are all swell!
Jeeeesus H. Christ! I thought you stopped the meds? Did I say BBG? Put your glasses back on, I simply said 1500 miles... Man, you didn't listen to your mommy's advice, did you?No offense to the 'Nut, but I do believe he completed a BB, or BunBurner1500, or 1500 miles in 36 hours rather than the BBG, or BunBurnerGold, or 1500 in 24 hours. Same as his Daddy/Hero/Idol (me) did on my first IBA ride. I kinda like to think he did it to honor me. (Ok, so where's the puke smilely)
Seeing how this was his IBA de-flowering ride, a BBG is not allowed.
In the end, a big congratulations to the 'Nut and O'vale for their FIRST SS1000 rides. Kudos to Skiwi for setting this up for them and congrats of course to Bluestreak for going along and pulling babysitting duties.
You guys simply have no idea how disappointed I am I couldn't join you as I had planned.
Good on ya all!

It is implied right there, dickwad. Besides, this isn't an oil thread so stay the **** out! By the way, I'll take my steak medium rare, and you gone.No offense to the 'Nut...
Wow. I always knew that interior decorators could take an ass-pounding, but this is impressive. Congratulations!SS1K is for pussies and toddlers.

I mentioned a BBG, but it wasn't in comparison to TWN's ride. It just happened that my comment about "how long it was taking the IBA to certify rides" was made with respect to my BBG.Where anywhere did I say you claimed a BBG? Some others made that leap on their own in their posts, and I was simply providing some much needed clarity.
I guess Bluestreek neglected to give you that part of the pre-ride briefing. He should know better. :nono: :haha: Your gas receipts are worth guarding like your blood. One more thing before I crash... Skyway covered this. This is probably why TWN was wading in creeks picking up scraps of paper. :dribble:I guess Bluestreek neglected to give you that part of the pre-ride briefing. Yeah, prolly a lot of ID's out there who can, but not being an ID I couldn't tell you. You're knowledge of this must be first hand, then?Wow. I always knew that interior decorators could take an ass-pounding, but this is impressive. Congratulations!SS1K is for pussies and toddlers.
