I got a Harley too.. I am now sad and must go to a corner and cry

Well, it might be right but I needed a bike with bags so I can carry my crap. A tank bag wouldn't cut it so I started looking at the sport touring bikes. The other thing was that I didn't want to be cruising around the freeway at 6000rpm all the damn time while simply keeping up with the flow of traffic. I wanted a larger cc bike because it's more of a cruiser and it’s nice to have that power there in case it’s needed.

Yamaha YZF R1You scored 7 moxie, 9 zeal, and 2 pomp!

You're addicted to speed, but have the knowledge and experience to match. Although you like to win, you don't really care so much about competing with others as much as competing with yourself.

Your bike is the Yamaha YZF R1. Given how easily the rear wheel on this beast spins up coming out of turns, it is fortunate that you constantly work to improve your skills. (I've seen more R1s crash at track days than any other bike.)

It was a close decision with the Suzuki GSXR1000, but your personality seemed a bit more R1-ish. (But hey, I could be wrong. Its only a silly test.)

Well there you have it. You got a bike that runs 70 @ 4000 rpm. Which just seems to be the buzziest area of the tach. My recommendation: ride FASTER!

Bags are great, aren't they? Getting like an old woman, I suppose. It's like I need a bigger and bigger purse all the time.

Then again, travelling it certainly is nice to stowe stuff. Even then, I have to strap a bag to the back. Not quite at the top case stage yet, but close. A duffle will do for now.

I ordered the top case and backrest with the bike when I bought it, but haven't installed it (waiting on the grommets to come in the mail), or had the side bags on since I got it. I'm still not riding the bike to work, but when I do I'll need the bags because I head to the gym right after work and I'm also taking a college course on Tuesday and Thursday nights.

I’m also planning on taking it out to Dallas to visit my older brother when I can squeeze in some vacation time and the extra storage will be a must. Hopefully I can make it out there in October for a week. I’ve only have 700 miles on it right now and have only had it up to 6200rpm in 5th, but crap, that was well over 100 mph. I try not to drive any faster than 5 to 10 over the limit, regardless of what I'm driving, on these local freeways unless I'm passing because there are cops everywhere in San Diego.
