Wish I could have caught the Dallas show since I spent the whole month there. An 8 hour check ride on Saturday and early departure Sunday screwed that up. Looks like I'm not making the Cleveland show either. Bummer.

I'm mostly there. It all comes down to a neighbor I did a favor for and now am obligated to a dinner with. The other six things I got worked out. Life is strange that way.

Well, my simple drive to Cleveland and back has turned into a two day event, with spouse and youngest and all things required to logistically support two females overnight (but you'd think we're going to be gone for a week) and includes not only Cleveland but a small town just outside of Columbus called Pataskala where we will visit an aunt and gram so I can cut up a downed tree #waynehasachainsawauntMeg...

Yup, overjoyed at this point. Wheels up at 6am Saturday, so at least I get the joy of reenacting the reveille scene from Full Metal Jacket...

But we're just about 90 days from the Ramble, so this mid-winter two wheel fix is just the ticket for winter survival - see everyone Saturday!!

Baby brother and I are going Friday night. But i'm in for lunch on Saturday. Just post a time and place and I'll probably be there.

I went to the Dallas show on Saturday. While it was warm enough to ride, i generally make it a rule not to ride downtown Dallas, the traffic can be crazy. But then by the time I leave the show it's in the 60's and i'm really wishing i had rode. The best part of the show is walking the parking lot full of hundreds of bikes of all types and conditions. There were several FJR's, a custom green 04 and one with a built in Valentine detector on top of the dash. The show itself was the standard, the same vendors, stunt bike show. But there seemed to be a little better selection of bikes, Ducatti was there and didn't remember them last year. The FZ07 felt like it was a bicycle after sitting on some of the bigger bikes. Did really enjoy the show, just wish they would hold it when the weather is a little more reliably warm.

BTW - we will be with a couple of guys who are active with MSTA. If you've even been to the Mailpouch Fly-By in Marietta, you'll probably recognize one of the guys we'll be with.

And for lunch - since our hotel is in N. Olmstead, we'll be dining at Fat Heads. I hear they have beer as well.
