Not meaning to hijack the thread or anything but the most memorable eclipse of the moon for me was Sept. 16 1978. The wife was in labor with our son. Kept telling her he was gonna be born with a 5 o'clock shadow and fangs. :vampire:
I imagine a time in history when an event like that would cause mass hysteria.

heh..there was enough hysteria in the labor room when the wife wanted a nurse or doc and they were all outside looking at the eclipse. Don't ya just love millitary hospitals? Poor woman ended up in labor for 27 1/2 hours before they finally did a cesarian. :blink:

Hmmm? A lunar Eclipse?

Well, postulating the the re-calculation of the hypoteneuse of a carbohydrate, and definitely before the doo-hickey is connected to the bob-a-link, I would say that depending on the angle on the dangle, the "yield" should reveal the dark sucker theory, seen here;

<_<

PS. What size of telescope could be folded up and stuffed into the Bags of an FJR, for a ride out to light less midnight views of the heavens?

We won't get another one until Dec. 2010. So if you missed it or it was cloudy, here you go.
By the way, it is freeking hard to get pictures of the moon. These are 20-30 second exposures.
