Dave didn't have any trouble leaving the pack with the Wee Strom on Hwy 96 knobbies and all. He did stop and wait after he got his speed fix.At the least the Vstrom is a reliable bike! I imagine most peeps couldn't keep up with Highlander even if stuck in 2nd - jes sayin'..

V-Strom? I thought that danged thing was one of them Euro KTM's with the knobbies. he whizzed by me a few times, BUT, and this is a big BUTT, he did have the 12v air compressor, which, I just purchased and the tire repair kit like Mark's.
When I had my tire leak, and we hadn't found the source yet (no objects in tire, no obvious tire punctures, we thought it was a leaky valve....which WAS leaking a little bit), we stopped at a parking lot on 3 near a lake. My tire was checked again and found to have 16psi of air in it...after just having brought it up to 42 in Yreka.
